Get Somersets while you can.
Exactly as ordered and so, so quickly delivered. Full marks. I was keen to build up a stock of these as Somersets seems to have gone out of business.

Shaving oil
I prefer shaving oil to shaving foam. It’s not for everyone but definitely worth trying.

Good value. Excellent product. Arrived quickly and well packaged.
Great stuff. Been using Shave Secret for years and decide to go back to Somersets for a change. This large bottle gives great value. Lasts for ages. Scent is excellent. Don't need to use any aftershave products when shaving with oil.

Love it
I've tried all sorts of shaving foam, gel, and oil over to many years to mention.I have to say that for me nothing comes close to this shaving oil, and believe me I've tried most of the alternatives. But for me, and I have sensitive skin the Somerset's sensitive shaving oil is the best on the market. It's so easy to use and the bottle lasts for ages. No shaving rash, even in sensitive areas.Believe me, once you've tried it you won't go back.

Works well, vegan, palm oil free
This works great. I’m a long term wet shaver but got a bit fed up of shavings soaps and creams that came in excessive packaging, usually plastic, and often contain palm oil. May be just a small contribution to saving the great apes but I’m trying to avoid palm oil based products. This oil is vegan and free of Palm oils. Equally importantly it works great! You don’t need much and the first time I was sceptical that it would give a smooth shave but it absolutely does. I tend to just add some soap over the top, just facial soap from a bar, just so that I can see where I have shaved but you don’t need to. Rinse your razor regularly so it doesn’t clog. Leaves my face feeling moisturised and smells great. Highly recommended

Not the Original. Poor marketing or lowered quality? You decide.
Not sure whether this is evidence of an extremely confused marketing strategy, or a distinct reduction in product quality. You decide.I started using Somersets' "Original Shaving Oil Plus" some years ago. As per the marketing, 3-4 drops was sufficient. I then drifted into dry shaving for some years, but came back to wet shaving last year.I continued to use the same bottle but needed to replace it in June of this year. I bought this product: believing it to be the same product (albeit without the "Plus" designation). The bottle was actually labelled "Maximum Glide Original". Same product? Or mis-representation?I now find that it requires at least double the amount to be applied to achieve the same result. However, it makes the same "3 drop" claim as before. So, is this a sign that the Company has lowered the quality of the product? Have they subtly changed the name and applied it to a different formulation? Or is it simply poorly executed marketing? Either way, it's not as good, or economic, as the "Original"
