The quality of these pages are amazing. I love resting my hand on the pages it feels so smooth. I love that it dont smudge easily. I used a fountain pen and it dryed fast and didnt bleed through the next page. It was more faded almost the same as a 5mm mechanical pencil. The pages are crisp and it has a different feel to them. It is high wuality paper and can be used for note taking best. You can lay it flat which is the best part about this book but everything else makes this in its own league.

I am a student taking lots of math and writing intensive courses. I have not yet found a better feeling paper under this price point. I pair this paper with a smooth pen for maximum satisfaction. Pros: - Smooth paper, great writing experience with pens. Paper feels almost like plastic sheets, not to thick, and the paper is not to stiff. - Exterior is vibrant, and durable enough, a little better than the usual. Cons: - Expensive, its worth it to me, but hard to justify at times. - These composition style notebooks do not fold flat all the way. It is much less noticeable in this product than in a traditional composition notebook, but it is also present. Verdict: Worth it if you want to try it out. If you like it, I would recommend buying the Kokuyo Campus Smart Ring Binder Notebooks (B5 if you like this size) and the paper (Sarasara Smooth Writing) separately, to save some money in the long run. Bonus: this one lays perfectly flat.

As a teacher, I love trying out different notebooks, and I’m so glad I gave these KOKUYO Campus Composition Notebooks a try. This 3-pack in pink, blue, and lavender is not only visually appealing, but the quality really stands out. The best feature by far is that they lay flat, which makes writing so much easier whether you're taking notes, journaling, or planning lessons. The college-ruled lines are neat and consistent, and the paper quality is excellent with minimal bleed-through. These have quickly become some of my favorite notebooks for both work and personal use. Stylish, practical, and thoughtfully designed, highly recommend!

These notebooks are absolutely great! They look and and they are great to write in. I noticed instantly that the paper isn't like your usual notebook paper. This one is a little thicker and your hand just glides across the sheet. There is no bleed and they arrived in great condition. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.

The pages were so smooth I will never buy a different brand notebook

I love these notebooks! They are so nice to write in, so smooth! I love the colors they come in, the paper feels very thin and light but it doesn’t have ink spillage to the other side.

Journaling for me is a way of disconnecting from screens and doing something analog, rather than what I’m writing about per se. So, as I have now filled multiple notebooks, I started looking for something not exactly disposable, but that I wouldn’t need to feel so precious about, yet still offers a good writing experience. Enter the Kokuyo Campus Notebooks. I have some of the (much pricier) Kokuyo auxiliary notebooks which are amazing, but 10x the price. Could these offer a similar writing experience at a more reasonable price point? After filling up one complete notebook, I would say… almost. Here’s what I like: - The paper is bright and smooth and is a pleasure to write on. Probably the smoothest paper I’ve tried so far. - The paper seems to have some sort of coating, so even though the notebook as a whole is light and thin, the paper is generally well behaved with fountain pen ink with no bleed through or noticeable ghosting. - Flexible, lay-flat bindings that make it easy to access the whole page while writing: no running into the margins here. So what prevents these from being perfect? Feathering. With most inks it just made the line look thicker on the page (feathering only really apparent under magnification). However, on some parts of multiple pages the coating seemed to be missing altogether, particularly towards the margins, resulting in visibly significant feathering and blurring. It didn’t happen on every page, nor along the entire margin when it happened, but often enough to prove distracting, and enough to deduct one star. I’ve still got two notebooks to go from this tri-pack, but will take a break to try other notebook options that I’ve purchased. These are still near the top in terms of overall value from what I’ve tried so far, but the hunt continues.
