Decksaver Cover for Rane Four

bought this DJ Control Inpulse 500 cover for its quality, durability, and size. This fit the controller to T! Great protection for when I take it on the road. When it comes to DJ controllers, I feel that if you are a mobile DJ, you definitely need to get one of these covers (make sure it fits your controller, or make sure that you get the correct fit for it)

Fit is bar none perfect, value is the best I could ask for, plastic is a decent quality grade and I don't imagine any issues with cracking in the future. Personally I prefer cloth clovers, but I decided to go with this since the case I have compliments a cover like this a little better, keeps the controller from wiggling around in the case which honestly is very important.

Fits perfectly and not too obtrusive for my shelf or dj bag

It does the job effortlessly. I like my gear to stay clean and looking new as long as possible. Everyone knows that dust and electronics always seem to find each other. The decksaver fits perfect and keeps the dust away from the surface. It also protects the gear, but I have no plans of placing anything on top of the unit. I honestly didn't want to pay the price, but looking back, I'm glad I got the purchase behind me. "Buy Once, Cry One is the rule of thumb for me in most cases.

If I could give this product a 4.5/5 stars I would. Because it does exactly what is advertised. It fits the RANE Four perfectly. There is no wiggle room when you try to move the decksaver around. It is sturdy, thicker plastic than I expected to be used. You could drop a mug on it and nothing will happen to the controller. I feel more confident having my controller out in the open now because of this decksaver. The ugly: I had to return this because of the imperfections that came with my first one. I was hoping the exchange would get me a better second one with no smudges and noticeable imperfections. That was incorrect. The second one came with just as many scratches and deep smudges that will not come out no matter what I use to clean it. I expected the decksaver to come perfect and yes over time, it would get dented with use etc. But not out of the box. I was hoping with the price of $130 it would come perfect, which is why I tried exchanging it. The first one I returned mainly because the inside corners, that would touch the controller, was rough. Call me crazy but I want the controller that I paid enough to be considered an investment, stay as clean and pristine for as long as possible. Considering this is the only decksaver I have found online for the RANE Four means we get what we get. The next best solution would be to put the controller away when not in use, or use towels to cover the controller. If I could suggest one thing to the creators of this decksaver it would be to improve their plastic packaging that ships with the decksaver. My assumption is that the plastic rubbing on the plastic face of the decksaver is what is causing all this scratching and smudging. Maybe using some other inserts like foam or something to help maintain the integrity of the decksaver while shipping. All in all, it is perfect for what its singular purpose demands. Make my RANE Four look awesome and it does that. I just wish it came with less imperfections considering the price I paid for it.

As many others have pointed out, you can practically play the keys under the guard without lifting it up if you have fingernails, and of course that could let in dust and everything else you were buying this for protection from. I'm ok with the gap, it's a limitation of the flat plane they must form these molds to and wanting all the connections in the back to be clear so you don't have to disassemble your whole rig anytime it might sit long enough to collect dust. This atleast lets my cats walk over it like they were always going to anyway but now I can't tell if they have. I've since bought 5 more decksavers for my other instruments, none of which are extremely expensive BUT are all investments in my eye considering the used market is almost higher than the new one at times. And of course these companies will stop making their products before people figure out new ways to use them as has been the case throughout synthesizer history, or people need that older-synth sound as they're too picky to settle on a roland boutique or something from behringer. This is the only one I got for something that isn't an instrument all by itself bc the arturia keystep 37 is the *chef's kiss* of affordable midi controller keyboards.

Definitely a great purchase for MPC Live 2 and worth the money. Keeps dust off of the MPC, helps with cleaning. I definitely recommend this if you have a MPC Live 2.

I have seen people give these negative reviews for not fitting. These are for the Rane Four only. Not the One.... Not the Performer. Highly recommend one of these if you fancy keeping your Rane Four as new as the day you bought it.
