Excellent Backpack
I have more than one of these. I like this new model more than the previous mainly because this includes a second water bottle pocket. I've used these bags for many things. Most recently, it has become my backpack for biking on the trails. It's light, water resistant and comfortable. I've maybe carried up to 20 pounds in it and it still looks new. This is a great bag and has been very durable. The shoulder straps balance the load well. There isn't any structure to its "frame," but that doesn't deter from its comfort - you can always put something in it, included a foam pad, but I never had needed to). It looks like the day I got it...and it's going through some rain, heat, sweat and being tossed around. The seams are taped and provide some water resistance (the Osprey Dry Sack is someone more water resistant as it has a folding top, similar to a true dry bag).It packs down relatively small, but unless you're carrying something else (jacket, purse, large cargo pockets, luggage), I wouldn't say this is "packable on your person".I highly recommend if you like lightweight stuff. It also comes with a lifetime warranty if something does happen to it...which I don't see happening anytime soon.

Tiny... but lives large!
Love this pack! I am a pack connoisseur, sort of speak, and this little guy packs a punch. Tiny package, only 5.3 ounces, yet 18L capacity. Ridiculously good! Nice, comfortable shoulder straps, which also incorporates a chest strap, and traditional Osprey quality. I don't think this pack has any competition for it's intended purpose.

Water bottle pockets a problem, otherwise great
Just back from 2 weeks of daily use with this pack and I’m impressed - as I should be for the price. It worked well on the airplane as it has a small zippered pouch at the top for your incidentals, and inside that pocket is a clip for keys as well as a smaller Velcro slot (I put bandaids and emergency cash in it). The shoulder are wide enough that they don’t cut into your shoulders and the chest strap keeps them in place (this pack replaces an earlier Osprey pack that was cheaper and did not have these comfort features). The pack was pretty heavy with two bottles of water, snacks, jacket (at least five pounds worth) but it did not strain my older back after two hours of continuous wear. Lightweight, so I could always take it with me jammed in my rear pocket or empty on my back, “just in case”.I took off a star because of the two water pockets. I have a Camelback hard water bottle (16 ounce, I’m pretty sure- larger than 12 oz but not the tallest) and it often fell out when I’d set the bag down, or if it was empty and did not have the weight to stay in. I usually put the bottle inside the maincompartment so it wouldn’t fall out. I also wish the bottle pockets were angled, as I could not get the bottle out without struggling or taking off the pack. The bottle sleeves are made of a stretchy fabric that is sure to fail over time and with heat and sun- wish they had used mesh. I ended up using them to hold snacks and incidentals

Really great for its use cases
Went on a trip to New York with my girlfriend. We walked nearly 25,000 steps a day exploring the city and this backpack was the perfect size to carry. Its so nice because for the plane ride I still had my large backpack and carryon luggage for my laptop and all of my clothes, but once we got to the hotel I opened this pack up and carried it the whole trip.It was really the perfect size for all of the essentials plus a little more. It was comfortable enough that my girlfriend or I could carry it all day and barely even notice it. Super light, packs surprisingly small, great day pack.

good personal bag for air travel
I use this as a personal bag for under the seat during air travel. I love that I can smush under the seat and not worry about germs from the floor. I just toss it in the wash when I'm done.

Osprey day pack
The ease of packing, rust color, water resistance and sturdy zippers make this a very good travel day pack for hikes and sightseeing. The straps are sturdy but have no padding and the limited range of sternum strap made it uncomfortable for my 6 ft husband to use. While he wore it without the sternum strap, I spent more on the Osprey in part for this feature.
