Fish are happy again!
We had to remove all of the live plants from our pond for the winter. The hyacinth, watercress and water poppy cannot make it through the winter where we live. The fish were NOT happy with the plants gone. We had over half of the pond covered with live plants all spring and summer. Then nothing. The fish were stressed. The fish were hiding and just not the same. So I ordered these faux lilly pads. I saw a review where someone had stapled the lilly pads together for their pond. I thought that was a great idea. I decided to use hot glue instead. I made a sort of patchwork quilt of faux lilly pads. I didn't want them blowing around. This worked! The lilly pads stay in place. The fish are back to their normal happy selves. I don't know how long these lilly pads will last. The pond will freeze over this winter. I guess we will see. If these faux lilly pads make it through the winter, then great. If not, well that's okay. I will buy another set next fall. I am not going to use these in the spring and summer, as we will have the live plants back. They aren't the most realistic thing, but they do the job. IMHO these are much better than the ones with the fake flowers. FWIW.

I love these to add shade to my fish pond
I don't have a photo to share, but I use about three at a time. They float well, they are pretty, they seem durable, but something ate a small hole (could have been a wasp) in one. They give a place for bees, moths, butterflies, and wasps to land for a sip of water. I love these.

Not Quite What I Expected
I bought these artificial lily pads to help block sunlight from our koi pond, but they ended up piling on top of each other. I had to separate them every couple of days. On the bright side, the frogs loved them, lol!

So pretty!
We're using these leaves in our naturalized pool because - between the turtles and the racoon - real lily pads don't survive long and the little frogs need a place to climb out of the water. These are perfect. I absolutely love them - I've bought two packages so far, and plan to order another soon. They look so pretty and realistic on the water, especially in groups, and are buoyant enough to support small frogs, etc. Mixing the four different sizes in this package gives them a lovely, natural look, and I especially love the 11"/28 cm size -- nice and big! They're so realistic the turtle has taken a chomp or two out of the smaller ones, and the racoon chewed up all three small ones I put in his mini-pond. (He'll have to make do with cabbage leaves from now on.) They may not last a dozen years, but they just make me happy.

Sun will fade color.
The sun is very hard on the color. Mine lost the bright green and now they look blue. They were continually getting in the skimmer, so I staples them together at the edges to make a large floating mass and it looked more natural and no more getting sucked into the skimmer.
