500+ Miles, worth the purchase
Intro/Overall thoughts: As long as you register the scooter with the application, you can unlock all its features and change the settings within. It goes 22mph on a full charge, but at about 70% battery, it drops to 20 mph. The only time I've noticed it not being able to reach 20 is when the battery is below 20%. Range works pretty well, on average, travelling around campus, I can get about 2 days' worth of riding even when limiting my battery to 80%. If it isn't listed anywhere, the NOMINAL WATTAGE is 450W. It provides 1000W when using Sport mode with Boost acceleration (which can take a while to "recharge"). I am a 155lb person, and I haven't run into any overheating issues.Weight: It's 55 lbs. A lot "heavier" per se than other scooters out there that can go 20, but they usually don't have the big battery for the range. It's light enough that I can pick it up and carry it up a small set of stairs or throw it in the back of a vehicle to take it places.I have gotten some bearing noise that started around 400 miles worth of riding, but honestly, I can't complain since it's had a lot of daily riding ever since I purchased it. Segway also directly offers replacement parts, and, being that the front wheel hub is only $60, it's a cheap enough repair considering the price of the vehicle. I'd have to say that part of that noise might be from rain/rust damage, since I don't think the front hub is completely sealed. The scooter is easy to unfold/fold, and has a locking tab that locks onto it when folded. Read some other reviews on people stating that their locking tab broke, but I'm honestly not sure how they did that.Security: You can set a custom passcode in the app to "lock" the scooter. 0-9 numerical 4-number combo, allowing for plenty of passcodes. Motor locks the rear wheel from moving when powered on, password if incorrectly entering the wrong passcode will shut off the scooter. This essentially, as long as someone isn't willing to go through literally 10,000.Precautions to take: This scooter goes 22 mph. You can cause SERIOUS injury to yourself if you do not respect this scooter. Do not take corners too sharply. Do not operate trying to hold the handlebars with your wrists, you need at least 1 hand on either of the handlebars at all times when moving. Avoid hitting large solid objects such as curbs or potholes (the manual says this).Other things to mention: Turn signals; They are mounted on the handlebars and very bright. You do have hazards if you double-press the buttons, which can be double-pressed to turn off. Pressing once turns them on in the direction you want, and pressing them again (in the same direction) turns them off. The headlight is turned on/off by a single press of the power button, it's honestly not bad for how small it is. Brake light can be set to go bright when braking or flash when braking, but that's when you're not e-braking. If E-braking, the light does go on.TL;DR: Good Battery, a bit heavy but provides the range for that weight, it folds to make it easier to carry, electronic lock.

G2 is a game changer
The media could not be loaded. This is my first E-Scooter purchase. I was in the market to buy one for a while but setbacks kept me from making the purchase. I researched tirelessly until I realized it's best for me to try and ride one for reference. So I saw Unagi has a rental service and I rented a Model One. It had dual motors for hills which I thought was necessary for hill climbing on my commute. While the scooter was decent it lacked suspension and the solid and tiny all rubber tires just made me come home with achy knees, ankles, and neck. The stem wobbled and just felt like it would eventually break. So I thought I needed a dual motor full suspension scooter which tended to be the high-speed ones that cost over $1200. I went to test drive a bunch that went over 30 MPH. They were all heavy and I knew I couldn't have something over 60 lbs and they were just too much power for me with jerky throttles. Then the G2 came out and I watched reviews and saw that this was considered a huge upgrade from the very popular G30 Max that I saw everywhere because of the suspension. So I took the plunge and ordered the G2. I absolutely love this thing. Tubeless 10" air-filled tires, check. Hydraulic suspension in the front which tends to be found on scooters way more expensive WITH dual spring adjustable suspension in the rear, check. Solid build quality with a manageable yet enjoyable commuter-friendly top-speed, check. Solid wobble-free stem at top speed, check. It has great torque and acceleration and on every hill, I've tried it on on your usual NYC streets, it handles with ease going faster than even the dual-motor Unagi at an average speed of 17 MPH. The brakes are good but I'd recommend setting the regen electrical breaks to medium to assist. I've had no high-temperature failures like some have mentioned nor any of the other programming bugs others have also mentioned. I believe the Universe made sure that I didn't purchase a scooter I'd regret buying and made sure I waited for this perfect scooter to come along. The ONLY issue is the weight since I have 6 flights of steps with my top floor apartment but the trade-off with the suspension is worth it. I have no pain in my body after riding this scooter around for even long rides. It just glides over everything. It is the absolute best way to get around NYC and I find myself not wanting to drive at all. It has transformed my Summer as I can easily explore my neighborhood and others close by with ease and comfort. The G30 Max is a legend but they say once you've had a scooter with suspension there's no going back and I can tell you for sure that is very true. Spend a bit more money (if you can) and get the G2 over the G30. Your joints will thank you, believe me. If you are over 200 lbs I'd recommend waiting until Segway fixes the issue with overheating since it seems like this happens with heavy riders since its max weight limit is 265 lbs. This is all the scooter you need for daily urban commuting with all the potholes, road cracks, uneven pavement, and hills like in NYC.

Paid for new, received used
Scooter is as good as described or better. But vendor, R3NEW, screwed me. Ordered and paid for brand new G2 Max but when it arrived, the box had been retaped. There was grass in the styrofoam packing, dirt on the scooter frame and tires. Upon activation found scooter already had 20.9 miles on it. No exchange options available. There was a refund option but it is spring of 2025 and the price just doubled between order date and arrival date. Check your vendor before ordering.

So fast and Smooth
I had the previous version, and wow let me say that these suspension cylinders make a difference.. now the ride is super super smooth. and the Scooter is faster than previous models. I use it all the time to go to central park

My First Segway product. I'm not disappointed. Very nice features and good build quality.
I did weeks of research before settling on this one. In fact, I even bought a different scooter (a NIU KQI) because of a lower price and had to return it after a week when it just went dead and could not be powered up. I know Segway is not the same company it was when it started, but this is definitely a quality scooter. My son is the one who rides it, but even I have to admit I'd ride it if I needed to get somewhere close by quickly.
