Great addition to my cookbook collection!

Good quality, great recipes.
The only cookbook I've ever felt the urge to buy, and I'm glad I did. Just as the theme of the book would suggest, the textured cover of this cookbook feels much higher quality than your standard glossy hard-cover. The design, layout, and photography of this book show the immense amount of effort put in. The descriptions for each recipe give the feeling that care and attention was put in by an actual person, as opposed to others that may feel cold or systematic. Similarly, the in-depth introductions at the beginning of each section provides a whole host of information on why each texture is used, as well as how they might be achieved, that would normally take an incredible amount of experience or trial and error for someone to learn themselves. Additionally, unlike other cookbooks, due to its unique concept this book is not limited to a specific style or region of food; allowing for a more diverse range of dishes and flavors. I would consider myself a somewhat inexperienced hobbyist/enthusiast, and the recipes I have tried so far have enabled me to apply some of my theoretical knowledge. Along with having great recipes, this book will help you learn techniques to use with other applications and dishes. Regardless of whether you consume much of Joshua's content or not, I highly recommend this book.

Love Josh and his recipes! This book has a lot of great information and recipes, I use it pretty frequently. There’s also a pretty large variety of dishes which is great.

Easy to follow, GREAT food
Bought as a gift for my boyfriend and he has made SO MUCH good food with this. We haven't come across a recipe we didn't love. And for my boyfriend, who is very new to working in the kitchen, it has been super easy for him to follow and understand. I would recommend this as a gift or even for yourself if you're looking to get a better grasp on cooking. These dishes truly feel gourmet and you can put them all together right in your own kitchen.

Get This Book!
Let me start by saying I have ALOT of cookbooks. I bought the first book to add to my collection and I absolutely loved it. The recipes i have tried have always been absolutely delicious. I especially love how approachable he makes bread and dough which i find intimidating. When Josh announced a second book I pre ordered it right away. I've now read it cover to cover and I can truly say it's one of a kind. The concept of texture is one I hadn't given that much thought to. I love that the book mixes basics with unique and more interesting recipes. My favorite part of the book are the vibrant pictures. I love seeing what the dishes are supposed to look like before attempting a recipe. I can say so much more but all in all if you've seen Josh's YouTube videos you know the book is fire. If not go subscribe to his YouTube channel and buy the book.

I bought this as a gift for my significant other and he wasn’t as into as he thought he would be. The recipes were basic and some could just as easily be found on his YouTube.
