Great Cello, but beware of packaging. W/ 1 year update
I received the Cello two days after ordering it due to prime. Sadly due to poor in shipment handling of the package, the back of the cello had cracked open where the sound post was, parallel to the spine. When I received the replacement it was allowed to acclimate for three days before I even opened the case of the cello. (After opening tuning and getting the bridge sanded by my luthier, the sound, tone, resonance and vibrancy really stand out. It is a great cello that I hope to use for many years to come. I would recommend this cello to any beginner such as myself, just as my tutor recommended it to me. Will update in a few months with how it is holding up.UPDATE~~1 YEAR LATERThis cello has stood up. I have traveled with it cross country and there not a crack to be found. The sound tone and vibrancy are all still there. The strings that came with it need replacing but that's it. I did have to buy a new case as the one it came with fell apart quickly. I reccomend this to other cello students and anyone interested in it. Beware of packaging but worth the trouble. Absolutely wonderful I couldn't be happier a year later.
