Basic copy of the text at a reasonable price
Assuming most people will be buying this text due to it being on a reading list at school/college/ university, I will review on that perspective. I needed this text for my university course and priced at £1.99 this is a bargain. Good value book
This play worries me, frankly - was WS kicked out of the family home for being Caliban to one of his daughters? He went home to die after this, his last play, after many years of absence. It truly makes me uneasy & I don't rate it as one of his best.

Great read!
I purchased this purely as a pleasure read but it would also be perfect for someone to use a part of a school or university course. It has a very comprehensive introduction but I found the accompanying notes explaining the text very brief in some cases. Having said that this is a very 'readable' Shakespeare play and does not, in my opinion, require flicking back and forwards very much as the text and plot are easily understood. If someone wants to expand their knowledge of Shakespeare this is a very good play to start with and great value. Highly recommended.

Puzzling plot from William, but no one dies in the end
An old obeah man went to live on an island with his dopey daughter. A shipwreck of fools lands and his daughter falls in love with an even greater dum-dum in that bunch of losers. They all sneer at the sole remaining native of the island, and make him work like a slave. Then they leave.

Lo compré para una asignatura de la UNED del Grado de Estudios Ingleses. Aparte de ser una más que interesante obra de teatro, esta edición es muy práctica, ya que lleva una introducción, glosario, y notas al final de toda la obra (está escrita en un inglés antiguo y si no tienes una base o una guía, te pierdes) Aparte, si quieres engrosar tu biblioteca, es una fantástica obra de Shakespeare de lectura casi obligatoria para tener algo de culturilla general.
