a great lift!
I love this lift! I have limited time using it but I have used it over the past month without issue. Well made, easy to install and set up. If you are on the fence between this lift and a comparable manual lift, go with this one. The only thing I do wish it had was a little faster speed when running it all the way up to swap bits and the travel back down again. Very minor thing.

Not the answer I was expecting from customer support
I purchased several items from O'Skool to replace a router table I have been using from the beginning of time. A month later I received the Motorized Router Lift, which turned out to be a O'SKOOL Router Table Stand with Adjustable Legs and Levelers, RTS12 - Note, this stand is flimsy, If you plan on putting some weight on it, well I wouldn't. So that's the background, now for the fun stuff. The Table was assembled previously and I inserted the Lift and initialized it to my Dewalt 618. It doesn't quite go high enough to push the rotor lock button but I can use the old school (no pun intended) 2 wrench method, I opted not to mount the control box until I made sure I had clearance for the Dust Collector. Low and behold, it doesn't fit, well ain't that Jim Dandy. So I contacted the O'Skool customer support by email, considering they don't have a phone number to call. So I will insert to email I sent Good afternoon, I purchased an entire router setup, Pro Table and stand, Motorized lift, and Dust Collection box. I opted to hold off on the mounting of the controller box until the unit was initialized and dust box was installed. The issue is with the box itself, I assembled it as pictured, but the cord for the lift does not reach outside the box through the cable management. I can reverse the sides, unlike the instruction pictured, but again there is not enough cord. And the second item would be that I would have to have the control dongle cable stretched across the front of the table, me being right handed. So I see only 4 alternatives. Leave the box in the pictured configuration and get a "extension cord" from the lift to the controller Have you send me a motorized lift with a longer cable, and I'll return the unit I have Mount the controller box inside the dust collection box, but again there will be a cord issue is there a warranty issue here. I would have to stretch the control dongle using this configuration. The least would be punch another hole in the box (least desirable) Could someone please contact me with some advice or a ramification for this issue? Now you would think that a design flaw would be taken seriously considering this is expensive in equipment This is the reply I got 2 days later: Thank you for reaching out to O'SKOOL and your support on the O’SKOOL products. I’m sorry for that the original cable isn’t long enough. The following male to female “PCIe 6 pin” cable is what you need for extending. Please measure the length you need and purchase slightly longer one. I was intending to purchase other items from this company, but no more, if I have to purchase third party equipment to get it to work, I'll take my business elsewhere. I opted to perform the least desirable alternative, but it turned out to be the most clean and effective I added a 5/8 board so the controller cable would clear the frame And i punched a 7/8 inch hole with a knockout plug in the dust collector Used a 7/8 rubber grommet to clear the connector and filled the gap with duct seal Hope this helps with anyone else using this combinations, or get 4 extensions like CS suggested.

Very useful
Works but not well thought out for the customer. No pattern included for the plate cutout. Just a cheap piece of plastic would save lots of effort and time. Most of the electrical components are in plastic cases without proper mounting tabs or holes. Should not need to buy straps. Main controller is in plastic case which appears very delicate. This is a single screw drive so some jerking as it self aligns when moving. It works OK now and is a joy compared to under table adjusting. Probably will be adequate for hobby shop or small operation long term but unknown for drive quality.

Very well made function is almost perfect
Honestly, I give it 4 1/2 stars. Only complaint is that I wish it would move a little faster. Smaller movements for adjusting cut depth is just fine. It's when you have to change the bit is where it would be nice if it were a little faster. I just adjusted my routine a bit to compensate. When ready to change bits, hit the up button first, then take out the insert, then grab your new router bit. Definitely NOT going back to a manual lift, however. It is very accurate and sturdy. No backlash in the mechanism. I really like it.

Does what it promises
I bought this on a whim. Solid product. I built a dust collection box under the router table and installed this inside. No more getting under the router table. Deducting one star as the manufacturer recommends unplugging the unit when not in use - that requires getting under the table - duh! I added a switch to facilitate that, but I think that should be part of the design. Will see how long this lasts. I am concerned about the dust accumulation on the stepper rod - will see!
