My comp has usb 3.0, will this still work ok? i need to use it for my focusrite solo dac & studio monitors that has electrical intereference sounds

Yes it will work, sound crads works better with usb 2.0 and this is a great cable for audio, usb 3.0 is better for file transfer from and to external hd or dok...

I am not sure. I had a problem with noise from a usb to RS-232 adapter, while listening to satellites (145 mhz). The cable with beads greatly reduced the problem. Tony

Yes this will work fine, and it is sheilded.

Is the shield and ground on this cable connected, or are they isolated?

I don't know. I thought the cable shield was used as ground.
