Cozy summer read 📚
The book came really in good condition. (Original book) I'm enjoying the story pretty well. Russell is such a soft boy 🥹❤️ After reading Icebreaker, I was so restless to jump right into Wildfire🔥 I was practically blushing within the first few pages for what happened between Sweet Muffin Russell and Rambling Princess Aurora 😳😶😶🌫️🫣🔥After that the whole summer camp vibe was something new to read and honestly it felt cozy 😌☺️😇All their sneaky hangouts and day offs, specially the stormy night 🥰🤭The whole stroy including new friends (Jenna, Emilia and Xander) Fish, Trout, Salmon 🦮🐶🐶 and OG puckbunnies was pretty cute and sweet. Honestly it was missing some kind of drama that made Icebreaker so engaging. I'm happy that Russ and Rory didn't became miscommunicaters but I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't open the strip club 🙃 Some quotes really touched me. Nonetheless it was cute.🪑💃🏻🏕🐻🥓🦮🐶🐶🏀🚽🪠📵🧁👸🏼🎰🐎🌌📚

It was a cute read
This was such a fun and cute read. I enjoyed reading the first book in the series and I’m glad I felt the same way about this one too. This was about Russ’s story and since I really liked him in the first book, I was quite excited to read about his story. I loved the plot of this book and the friendships was definitely one of my favourite thing about it. I liked how the miscommunication plot between Russ and Aurora wasn’t dragged out too much and I also liked the way they really understood and were there for each other. The epilogue is the cutest and now I’m really excited for Henry’s book next!

Disappointing
If I was to write an alternative summary of the book, it would be - daddy issues, mommy issues, baby sit and bang. There were indeed some cute moments between Aurora and Russ. You might find me posting some quotes and reels about this book. But what I felt was that the length of the book was unnecessarily long. I will not be lying to admitting the fact that it took me four months to finish this book off, while dnf'ing it for days. I was expecting much more from this as compared to Icebreaker. And I still will be expecting Daydream (the next book in the series) to be a banger. The ending was emotional and heart warming to read indeed. It really proves that not everyone will stay. People, like Aurora's dad for example. But it still leaves with the hopes that people might change.

A cute love story 😍
Loved the plot and the way this story turns out to be the one without a lot of drama.I would have loved to read about their lives back to college because that's where I got to know Anastasia, Nathan, Henry and the other guys. I missed college and kept waiting for it.Apart from that, I loved the book.

I liked this
It's more like a three point seven five. Icebreaker, the first book in this series was a disappointment so I went in with zero expectations and I enjoyed it so much. I didn't like the FMC for some of things but overall it was a cute story and Russ was perfection.

Plot felt a bit repetitive to me!
Wildfire by Hannah Grace is the second book in the Maple Hills series after Icebreaker. I enjoyed reading the first book, and this one follows Russ Callaghan and Aurora Roberts. It follows two summer camp counselors who reconnect after a sizzling one-night stand.Russ and Aurora met at a party and had a one-night stand during a friend's party. Now at a summer camp, they are both counselors, and the camp has a strict “no staff fraternizing” rule, for which Russ is pretty scared of losing his job, whereas Aurora has been someone who never plays by the rules. The book starts off very well for me. I loved the banter between the two to some extent. Aurora, with her own share of family issues, and Russ, with his own share, both of them try to get along well with each other. But the book did not work for me since the second half felt very repetitive and more like beating around the bush.Overall, I felt The Icebreaker had a better plot and execution than this, and I am expecting much more from the third book as well. The first half had me blushing at some parts, but then the second half took me days to finish. I just wanted to read it further and forced myself to finish it.
