Can someone measure the thickness of the case with a 2017 iPad inside? Description says 0.3 inches, which is nearly same as a naked iPad ...

I bought it for a friend! I actually put her iPad in the case for her after she opened it and it fits like a glove!!! Don't know the measurements but it's a perfect fit!

Will the translucent back cover to the case scratch the back of a iPad 2017 ( in space grey ) when the tablet is inserted into the case or removed ?

I did not have that problem,I don't see how it could if you insert it correctly.

Will this fit an iPad 2 ?

No this will only work with the iPad 2017. The iPad Air 2 is slightly thinner and has different cut outs for the volume rocker.

Will this fit my older model a1458 iPad? Asked Siri and she said it was an interesting question. 😜

I'm not sure but I've bought it for my ipad 2017. As far that I know was the older ipad and the newer ipad 2017 were the same dimension in sizes. Hopefully this will answer on your question.
