Architectural Mailboxes Landover Aluminum Mailbox Post, Venetian Bronze

Sturdy, nice looking, and easy to put together.

I bought this same product 4 years ago and it looked great and worked perfectly....until someone hit it at 45 to 50 MPH. Anyway...I liked it well enough to order the exact same product to replace it.

I really like this post. I have only had it for a few months but we just slid it over our 4x4 post already in the ground.

I put together alone, 60yr old female. It's moderately easy but be aware the nuts are the kind with the plastic piece inside and will only tighten so far with your fingers. You will need a locking type wrench plus another one if doing alone, in order to tighten the nuts all the way to the bolts. If you have an extra set of hands, just regular wrench's will do but you do need 2 of them. It's looks really nice, wasn't scratched or dented at all.

The post is nice but the mailbox bracket is poorly built and the underside of the bracket was never painted to match the post.

I bought a stake for the ground to mount this because it is the way my old mailbox was secured in the ground. I found that I needed a 4x4 when using that stake and then the post fit over the 4x4. You could skip the stake and just use the 4x4 if you want to cement in the ground. Chose to use cedar 4x4.

I really like this mailbox post! I was able to reuse the old 4x4 post that I had cemented in the ground no problem with this one that just slips over and screws in. I got a matching mailbox and it looks great.

This is a well constructed post and platform, The post is heavy gauge formed aluminum, slid over a 4x4 post best bedded in concrete, however the platform is not Aluminum, it's heavy gauge formed sheetmetal. It's also well made however, and should last for decades. 5 stars
