Baby & I love it
Works really well! I've been using it to spin my babies homemade Mobile for the last two weeks. I constantly have it running and forget to turn it off but it seems to be just fine still.

It’s perfect
The media could not be loaded. Exactly what I needed. I made my own mobile and my daughter really liked when we spun it so I started searching for a motor. After looking at the reviews, I was a little worried that the 10 RPM was going to be too fast but it’s perfect! Attached a video so people can see the speed, I’m sure mine is a little slower due to the weight of my mobile. Zero sound comes from this motor which is great. The only thing is the remote has a mind off it’s own but I don’t mind since a couple of taps or moving closer usually gets it working again

REVISED - IF USING OUTSIDE - DO NOT BUY
I am revising my review and rating. I bought this to hang outside to use for my wind spinner. As stated in the original review, the remote would only work if you held it a few feet from spinner. I usually forgot to go out at night and turn it off. Because of this, the 2 AA batteries only last about 1-2 weeks. I have changed them 3 times already since purchase. Also after going through a few rains, the outside off/on switch has started to rust/corrode. I don't think I have had it 2 months yet. So I reordered the one I had for a few years that takes a D battery. I suppose if you are using this indoors in a control environment it will work for you. But, it just didn't meet my needs. Money wasted. After reading several reviews, I bought the white slower speed motor with remote to hang my spinner outside by the bird feeders. The wind spinner takes 2 AA batteries that did not come with it, but the C2025 battery for the remote did. You must make sure the spinner is turned on (see small tab on the bottom). I did read the remote would only work about 3 feet away and pointed directly at the spinner. That is correct. I had hoped I could stay on my screened in porch and use the remote in the evening to turn it off. That did not work, I have to step outside on my patio to make it work. But overall I am happy with it. I will know more of the inside corrosion after it has been rained on a few times. The last one I had didn't have a remote, but it lasted about 4 years.

20 RPM vs 10 RPM
Received "20 RPM motor with remote" and installed batteries (not included). Put 2-1.5v AA alkaline batteries in motor unit and 1-3v #2025-2.5mm button battery in remote (can use #2032-3.2mm).Unit worked well for day-1 with remote at 50'. In day-2, motor stopped responding to remote at any distance, but continued to work manually at switch. Apparently the receiver required near maximum battery capacity. After reviewing discharge rates of various AA batteries it was apparent that AA alkaline batteries have a declining capacity discharge rate starting at 3,000 and going down to 1,000 mAh, while AA lithium batteries have a mostly flat capacity discharge rate starting at 3,500 and going down to 3,200 mAh.Based on this information, I replaced the alkaline (MnO2) batteries in the motor unit with lithium (Li-FeS2) batteries and all has worked well since (10 days and counting).I then ordered a "10 RPM motor with remote" because I wanted to slow down the spin on my larger spinner and use the faster motor for my smaller spinner.Using lithium batteries the "20 RPM" motor is operating at 23.7 RPM and the "10 RPM" motor is operating at 16.3 RPM, whereas using alkaline batteries the "20 RPM" motor is operating at 22.6 RPM and the "10 RPM" motor is operating at 15.2 RPM. These measurements are without any attachments and show that the RPM is about 1.1 more with lithium batteries. Also, the receivers on both motor units are more sensitive using AA lithium batteries. However, the "20 RPM" remote (about 3" long) works at long distances of at least 50', through glass, and without pointing directly at the motor unit, whereas the "10 RPM" remote (about 2" long) works only at short distances of at most 5', not through glass, and only while pointing directly at the motor unit. There appears to be a difference in the wireless technology between the two units and I would not recommend the poorer performing unit.

Battery life.
I liked the idea of having a remote, but if you leave the switch on the motor on the batteries go dead in about a week. So the remote is basically useless. Other that that, it works great!

Nice for Displaying Items
This item works very well for spinning lightweight things. It can be attached to a ceiling or tree branch or wood beam, etc. It is very quiet. And it spins at a nice speed. Great for displaying art work, or other items. Looks good in the playroom with Tinkerbell attached and spinning from the ceiling. The remote control makes it easy to turn on and off.

A little fast for a baby mobile
The media could not be loaded. ...but it does the job quietly and smoothly! I picked this up to replace the wind-up 1-2 minute music box on my baby mobile, since we have other music sources and just wanted something to keep the mobile spinning. I was not sure how fast 10rpm would be, so I took a chance on this purchase. I've included a video so that others can see how fast it spins!Update: the batteries lasted me about 3 months before needing replacement, with intermittent use of 3-6 hours a day. The speed slowed to a better mobile pace as the batteries drained out, and I've been happy with its slower speeds. It operates without the remote, if you do not wish to use the remote. I did not even stick batteries in my remote; just turning on the mobile after adding the AA batteries was all that was needed. Size-wise, it seems to be the same length as the wind-up box that I had originally, which was an important factor in my choosing this one over the 7" long cheaper models (even though I do not have need of the included remote).

It spins
It’s okay, but it’s a little on the loud side.
