These mailboxes were pretty easy to put together, and they were pretty easy to mount. The hardest part was taking the hole to put a 4 x 4 post into the ground and concrete that in to set the post on top. The only thing I would suggest is that if you’re going to use this mailboxthey don’t don’t provide enough support for the post itself. The plastic needs to have two or three more screws with washers going around up further on the post not just down at the bottom it’s a little wobbly otherwise otherwise it’s a really good. I love it! The design is very pretty and well made. Easy to set up and hardware included but please do yourself a favor and build the sides and top first, then the front door and the back part last. I made the mistake of trying to put the top last and I had a hard almost impossible time taking it apart. Once the parts click in they stay! So that's not a bad thing! Definitely durable and thick material, waterproof because everything sealed perfectly. I love the size and how roomy it is. I installed a 4x4 wood piece and added cement to it, once it dried I put the post on top and it fit perfectly. I just made sure that was leveled. Installing the actual post and mailbox after the wood post dried only took a few seconds with the screws already included. I added the numbers easily (sold separately). I love the finished look!

Easy to assemble. I used a rubber mallet to pop the interlocking parts into place. Very well constructed. Thick double walled blow molded parts will stand up to the weather and won't rust or dent like metal. You know you want a new mailbox to spruce up your driveway...Why not order one made by a USA company? I did!

Absolutely Love the size! Holds rather large packages. Stays dry inside. Love the look! Was easy to assemble. It has come open a couple times but could be mailman not closing it well. Great price for the quality and size! Hard plastic.

Review of ARCHITECTURAL MAILBOXES Grand Haven Plastic, Mailbox and Post Kit, Black Extra Large My old mailbox’s post gave way to time, so I decided to upgrade to a more aesthetically pleasing one. This one is also larger. The one I had before was also of the same material but was the green and beige rural looking one. This mailbox was really tight in getting the final piece to slide on and locked into place. Other than that, it was not difficult to put together. I imagine some will need help in assembling it, only because of how tightly the pieces slide and lock into place. I like how hefty and sturdy this is built. Instructions are included, but I found that assembly was mostly common sense. The instructions indicate the need for an adjustable wrench, but no wrench is needed. Feeding the bolts from the top and the nuts from the bottom, the nuts are held in place to self-thread and tighten. There is so much room; a lot more room than my old one and most standard boxes. The red arm that is raised to show that you have outgoing mail is a little bit wonky in getting it to rise up, but I am guessing that is to keep the wind from somehow blowing it in the upright position. The door stays tightly closed with the strong magnet that is attached. As far as installation, I hired this done since I wanted to have it in concrete, levelled, and installed flush to the ground as it should be. The installer also used an upgraded 4x4 post and larger lag screws/bolts. The lag screws that come with this are much too small in my opinion. I deducted 1 star for this poor hardware inclusion. Paying this much for a mailbox should include heavier and better installation lag screws. It should be noted that I am not a handyman. Many people will be able to do this themselves. For numbering, 2” numbers worked well on the side(s), and I used 3” numbers on the front. I think this should last and hold up to the elements quite well.

This is a perfect replacement for your tired old mailbox, or even a fresh install. This box is larger than a normal box and will allow for slightly larger packages to be delivered instead of taken to your door. Pay attention to the instructions and double check before clicking the parts together, because it can be a slight pain to get them apart, but that's a good thing. If you already have the post in the ground and it's in good shape, this mailbox and post simply slide over the top and is secured by screws. Don't deface your new box with cheap stickers or the like, as you can order beautiful number plates or plaques to attach by adhesive or screws (via Amazon or other). Can't say how long it'll last, but it feels very sturdy and made with thick plastic. Should hold up for many years and at this price, easily replaced when the eventual time comes.

I love this mailbox! Someone ran over mine and I replaced it with this one because the mail person used to stuff boxes in my old one that I had to rip to get out. This one is so roomy, it holds days worth of mail and most packages! Also looks good and is very sturdy.

Love the size … now if I could just get the delivery people to actually put the packages in this big mailbox rather than on my front step lol

This mailbox is just beautiful, and neighbours have complimented us on it. Since we installed it, a couple of other neighbours have followed suit and got the same mailbox. We live on a rural road and I feel like it makes the entire street look better. We look like a neighbourhood now, not just a road with houses on it.
