Solid jam nut
Great little jam nut. Finish is matte black. The jam nut I received is .240" thick, .740" OD on the flat sides, and .950" OD on the round ends.

Excellent
Compared to the JP version from Brownells and, other than the style I see no difference. Used to install brakes on two barrels using blue Loctite. Put 200 rounds through one and it's right where I put it. At 1/4 the cost of JPs, I'll use again.

Heavy duty
These seem to be of good quality. They are however, larger than I expected. I installed one on a 7.5" 556 ar pistol because the flash can was walking loose with crush washers. Haven't had a chance to shoot with the jam nut installed yet.

Excellence
Worth the price for the quality of machining alone.Good fitment - flats aren't too loose or too large.Great threading - 95% of what matters for these.Excellent coverage of coating - wasn't specifically looking for it until I set one next to the only other set of jam nuts I have.I've also purchased and installed their firing pin retainers (FP Retainers) in place of the traditional cotter pin and those are just plain amazing. Makes me wish I knew about Xtreme Precision before building my AR, and I'll be sure to return for any other things they make.

Good Quality, Just Didn't Work For Me
These jam nuts arrived as described and seem good quality. Unfortunately they didn't work for my application, a muzzle device on a Ballistic Advantage .223 wylde barrel. The muzzle device was about 160 degrees off from where it should be. Could be perfect for your application though.

These are Thick and Huge!
For a 1/2 x 28 they are big too big in my case. If you are using a suppressor or Large break they are a good size. don't recommend these for a A2 style or size break or Flash hider.

Works well
This exactly what I needed for my project. I would recommend these for anyone that needs a jam nut.

Great for adding a muzzle device to your PLR-16
Threaded right onto my Kel-Tec PLR-16 for use with a Levang-style linear muzzle brake without any issues at all. Came packed in some kind of machine oil, but it wiped right off. No problems at all with quality or fitment.
