Heavy going.
Although this is interesting I find the writing style quite boring. It will be a good reference book but I don't think I'll get the benefit of a broad knowledge and understanding as I don't think I can endure reading it cover to cover. Shame because many art books are very accessible while still written to a high standard.

This was my textbook for an art history class about the first half of modern art, emphasis on sculpture. I am a fan of these little books. Easy to read, lots of pictures, well laid out and divided. My professor liked this book as well, diverse artists and regions.
