7" Capacity Rain Gauge with Stainless Steel Mounting Rack Holder, Post Mount Rain Gauge for Yard Garden Outdoor Home (Style A)

This is a nice rain gauge. It arrived unbroken and was easy to install. I love the way it looks. Well made and functional. I am pleased with my purchase.

It is made of glass with a SS holder and mounted in the garden on a three foot stake (not included) where it gets plenty of sunshine and rain. I wanted a glass one that wouldn't fade like plastic. It will freeze in winter and break if not emptied. The SS holder was a plus so it should not rust. It is large enough where I can read it easily. If needed, I would definitely purchase it again.

I bought this item and was very pleased with the quality, given the price. The water catchers are real glass, and they even sent a spare. I found it easy to read and use, and nice looking. However, the first time we got freezing weather after some rain, the glass shattered. So now I'm only using it in summer and bringing it inside for winter. This is not ideal for such a product.

Real accurate. Just empty when it freezes .

Bought this outdoor rain gauge to replace my old one that had expired after 6 years. Just installed it in the same location as my old rain gauge and put it to the test with a recent storm storm. The gauge shows that we have gotten 5" of rain so far (see photo). I compared this the Precip app on my iPhone and my neighbors rain gauge, which are both showing that we've had 1.75" rainfall so far. No doubt the accuracy of this particular rain gauge is just plain bad. I will return this to Amazon and just buy another Outdoor Home Dual Scale Rain Gauge. The Outdoor Home rain gauge is much more expensive, but at least it works, is spot-on accurate and lasts for quite a few years.
