I really like this well made coffee maker. My organic coffee does not have that plastic taste that I was getting with my older brewer. It strikes me as well engineer, and its kind of cool to watch it brew. And it brews very fast which was pleasantly surprising. It is easy to use, and easy to clean.

This coffee pot makes excellent coffee and rivals the Mokkamaster which we also have. However the hot plate, even when on, does not keep coffee hot enough to go back for a second cup a half hour later. I know that you don't want the coffee baking away and getting ruined, but if your routine is to have a cup of coffee and then go get a second from the original pot a half hour or 40 minutes later, you will not be able to do that without utilizing the microwave to warm your coffee back up. If they had a thermal carafe version I would probably get that and keep it, but they do not, so the search continues.

My husband has been getting more and more into his coffee hobby, and he loves this coffee maker and the process of how it makes a great cup of coffee. It took a little bit of figuring out, as a few times we had the opening between the grounds and the pot closed, so when we turned on the coffee pot in the morning, it made a mess with coffee spilling out rather than dripping into the pot below. Whoops. I miss our insulated coffee pot a bit, as it kept coffee warm for longer. This cools quickly after it turns off. However! My husband is the coffee guy, and he believes in this coffee maker and enjoys it greatly, so overall, 4 stars from us!

Very first cup of coffee from Simply Good tasted significantly better than any coffee I'd ever made for myself before. Round, rich, full flavor, no bitterness. Though I use cream and a bit of sugar, straight black was fabulous too. (I may have to switch.) I have been using the classic Braun Aromaster for the past 30 years because it brewed great coffee, but the Simply Good was far superior in taste. I am surprised every morning just how good my coffee is. This is what I like about it: 1. Small footprint, does not eat up entire counter like many coffee makers. 2. Simple operation -- easy to fill with filter, coffee and water. One button on and coffee's ready in 6 minutes. 3. Coffee is properly hot. 4. Cost is reasonable, and a lot less (sometimes by half) than similar coffee makers. 5. Attractive appearance, it looks like it makes good coffee, and it does! 6. Just one minor concern: automatic turnoff in 40 minutes (I know--to keep the coffee from burning) but I just hit the on button for another 40 minutes. That said, this my coffee maker for the next 30 years. Highly recommended.

I don't know what it is about this coffee maker, but the quality of the coffee it brews is amazing. It isn't an expensive coffee maker. It is fairly simple to use, but wow. I find I brew less coffee because I am no longer bolting it down. I savor it. It tastes really good. The pros: -simple to use. Pour in water, but grounds in filter basket. Flip the switch on. Done. Literally two switches. -fast - coffee is ready quickly and tastes amazing -easy to clean. -Measurements on side are accurate. Which, frankly, is amazing. Most are way off. -Burner turns off after twenty minutes. No more burned coffee, no more wondering if you left the coffee maker on. Cons -bloom function is perhaps too simple. There is a manual lever on the filter basket that you close, do the bloom function, then you open it up. If you are like me, you might just forget to open that lever again. Coffee overflows filter (and I recognize that problem exists between coffee maker and human!) And really - that is the only quibble. Coffee machine is not idiot (or coffee deprived) proof. I had some initial issues getting the coffee maker, and then I pouted about it for about a month. Bought an OXO which is fine - but then I moved house, and this was easier to set up and well, then I stopped pouting. This is an amazing coffee maker. Proof again of what Einstein said - make everything as simple as possible, but no simpler.
