Works much better than I expected. Will update if I get rust too soon. Update: one year later. Excellent performance. I painted the cut ends of hot dipped galvanized angle supporting my rooftop solar panels. They are directly exposed to intense sun and salt air/wind off the coast of Ecuador for over one year with no, I repeat, NO sign of rust. It is so salty here that even my aluminum railings are corroding but the spots where I sprayed this are perfect. I don't understand how it can work this well. It even sticks to the galvanized portions of the angle, which regular paints are not supposed to do. One con: the color is slightly darker and flatter than aged galvanized finish, if that is a concern

Good for increased rust resistance. Clogging of the spray nozzle is a constant issue.
Good for increased rust resistance. Clogging of the spray nozzle is a constant issue. Shake frequently and clean nozzle with lacquer thinner in a jar. We would like to see a change to no stick plastic for the nozzle.

Great product
Neat stuff. I sprayed the rusting welds on a chain link fence. At first the color was different but it has aged nicely.

Leaving a day between coats went bad for me
painted my boats props, rudders and running gear. Pettit version of the same can costs $44 at west Marine. Note, its not really a primer, other paints wont stick to it well. Also, spray it on thick several coats within an hour or so. Leaving a day between coats went bad for me, old paint underneath sagged.

Product performed poorly.
Even though the product was applied according to the directions the product did not properly bond with the prepped surface.

This sprays on well and dries quickly, but I ...
This sprays on well and dries quickly, but I am a little worried about it's durability. It seems to be powdery after it dries, so it might eventually wear off, especially if whatever you spray rubs against something else. I ended up spraying a couple coats of plasti-dip to increase the longevity.
