Amazing superior clippers
All I can say is I should’ve bought these earlier. The previous clippers I had were rated professional but were in no comparison to the quality, speed, functionality, and durability of these. I use these for personal use on my Aussie doodle, who has wavy thick hair. I asked a groomer and she recommended these along with another brand that was 4x the cost. Those weren’t in my budget but these work so well that I have no regrets. I would go over the same spots and unstick hair from the plastic attachment combs every few swipes taking me over an hour to simply cut the hair evenly. I bet it took me 25 minutes to do the same job and I could leave it long for Midwest harsh winters. I added a picture of the combs as these were a great pairing. I am unsure if I had gotten plastic ones if I would’ve been as happy with the results. So for $150 I have clippers and attachments that work very well and save me a tremendous amount of time. How much does it cost to groom your pet? This is priced but you won’t buy 3, as I have done in 2 years, if you just grab these the first time and swallow the slightly higher price tag. Also, I spoke with a friend who works in a vet office and the blade can be sharpened if you don’t want to replace it when it gets dull, which saves about $30 in replacement blade cost. She even used these on her horse. Highly recommend grabbing these trimmers and the metal attachment blades for personal use!Slight negative: As others stated, they do get warm. I found I was done cutting as it got to this point. I would think a pause for the motor to cool would take care of it if you are cutting multiple animals.

Great quality, minimal noise
Wow! I’m impressed. My dog is sensitive to loud noises and this is the only grooming shaver he can tolerate. My dog is an Australian Shepard, super thick double coat fur, mats easily. This shaver worked wonderful. I was hesitant on it being a plug in but I attached it to an extension cord and trimmed my dog outside in the shade…worked great. I will note that this shaver is not silent like other reviews I read, it’s just not as loud as other products for grooming.

Don’t waste your money if you have a standard poodle
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This corded Andis 2 speed clipper sucks. I bought it in Nov 2024 to replace my Andis Pro 3 Speed (it had a cord too) which finally died (RIP quality clippers) after almost 5 years of use on a huge standard poodle. My old 3 speed Andis clippers would start to get hot to the touch after 3 hours of hardcore work. This is a reasonable workload, based on professional groomers’ feedback. The clipper’s heat would transfer from the motor to the actual blades (I swap blades every 5 minutes or so), so I knew it was time for a break.I’ve used this new 2 speed Andis clippers set (10 grooming sessions in 8 months for 1 large standard poodle). These 2 speed clippers CANNOT handle a reasonable workload. This clipper gets overheated after 20 minutes of work. That includes me swapping blades every 4-5 minutes, so that I can work on my poodle’s coat for the full 20 minute segment. It is NOT reasonable for clippers to overheat so fast for a clean, dry, & prepped poodle coat. Overheating - it’s like being touched by a hot curling iron. Humans don’t like it, and my dog certainly doesn’t either The noise is comparable to my prior 3 speed clippers, and I had initially thought that these clippers were a decent purchase value. That is absolutely NOT the case. The purchase price difference for a corded Andis Pro 3 Speed in late 2019 vs Andis 2 Speed in late 2024 was significant. But so is the quality of the 2 different products that I bought. If I didn’t have all the blades, attachments, and related gear for my 1st Andis clippers … I would switch to Wahl or Oster cordless clippers in a heartbeat. This drop in Andis’ product usability affects my workflow & efficiency. Now it takes me more than 8 hours to fully groom my ONE large standard poodle. Ugh. I even used brand new blades yesterday/today (July 2025), to make sure whether it’s the clippers or the blades causing the overheating problem. I am not a professional groomer, but I’ve taken lessons. I groom my huge standard poodle at home for a few reasons:1. Save money2. Eliminate injuries3. Enhance our bond (medical service dog). The attached photos are a comparison: floofy “poodle” style with Andis Pro 3 speed took 3 hours (in general, before hand scissoring). Very short “summer” nearly Lab haircut took almost 8 hours last time (late May 2025). I’ve already spent 8 hours these past 2 days, and I’m not finished with his current cut (mid July 2025). Hair removal:Standard poodle

Cuts through bunny fur well!
This clipper is a breeze to use! It cuts my fluffy bunny’s coat very well. The blade gets warm but cools down in just a few minutes if left on a glass table. I finished her groom in around an hour! Highly recommend. I got a 2nd 10 blade to go with it so I can swap between the two and groom faster. The clipper has a little weight to it but not bad. The blades detach with ease.
