Does using the brace make your muscles weaker?

I wear this brace while I am lifting heavy items While I lift I can still feel my muscles being used so I wouldn't think using it would make them weaker.

Is this the best Lumbar Supports brand? The quality of how?

I would have to try other brands or research reviews. I have not tried other brands. I bought this one and like it. Very supportive and quite comfortable. Runs small.
