Great and Snuggly Sleeping Bag
This is a review for Wenzel Moose Boys 40-Degree Sleeping Bag.What's more fun than camping with the kids? Yah... I suppose a few folks out there might have a few ideas, but for me, I do enjoy camping!A few camping trips ago, we decided to purchase some new supplies. Tent, clothes line, gas burner, and, yes, sleeping bags. We decided to let our kids choose their own sleeping bag, and my 7 year old daughter wanted the pink wenzel moose 40 degree sleeping bag. It was within our budget, and when it arrived, I was excited. I wasn't as excited as my daughter, but that goes without saying. It's a well made sleeping bag that is plenty warm for late spring to early fall camping in lower altitude areas. I suspect that it would be a fine sleeping bag for camping in the mountains during this period of time, but I'd bring an extra blanket just in case. What I like most about the bag is that it rolls up easily, is small sized, and the straps are strong. It does come with a bag to slide the sleeping bag into, but I personally didn't see the point in this and let my daughter use it for packing her stuffed animals. My daughter loves that it is pink and has animals on it. She also says it is 'snuggly.'We've had the sleeping bag now for about two years. Its seen a lot of use, outside and inside. It is holding up quite well and washes just fine. My daughter has grown about a foot it seems during this time and still fits in the bag. I suspect my daughter will outgrow the bag before it gets worn out.I highly recommend this sleeping bag.

Even better than expected!
Ordered this sleeping bag for my 5 year old son, definitely wanted something outdoors worthy but nothing over the top for extremely cold nights, the 40-50 degree rating was ideal. Upon the very fast arrival of this sleeping bag (time from order placed to receiving it was less than 36 hours!) I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It comes in a cinch bag and is nicely packaged, but when you take it out and unroll it - it's amazingly fluffy!! It's not matter down or wrinkly, it's just a very fluffy and cozy sleeping bag with more than ample space for a child. My 12 year old got into the sleeping bag to test the size and she fit comfortably at 5'1"....so this tells me that my 5 year old has years of enjoyment ahead with growing space in this bag. We immediately tested it out on a camping trip the following weekend in Central Oregon, night time temps in the mid 50s and he stayed snuggly warm the entire time sleeping in this bag in a tent. It even has the elastic straps attached for rolling up making it even easier to stuff into the storage bag. I highly recommend this product !

l understimated this sleeping bag
This bag performed well above my expectations, especially for the price. I bought the pink one for my 2 year old girl and the blue one for my 4 year old boy. First of all, they loved them immediately so that was a bonus. We tented for 10 days in Mass. in August and had some warm humid nights but then a few nights that went down into the low 60's and both kids slept great every night. I was expecting it to be thin and flimsy, but the stuffing has some plushness to it. The material is the satin-y feel, inside and out which made it easy for the kids to get into the bag. I haven't washed them so I can't comment on that. Two features I liked were the attached elastic bands at the bottom for easy containment when rolled. I also like that there was small velcro "strap" that went from the bottom piece to the top piece right over the zippers. I felt like it helped keep the sleeping bag together even if the kids were wiggly through the night and it prevented the zipper from slipping down. Overall they felt very well made and much better quality than other bags I saw in that price range in the stores. They also come with a thin bag with drawstring which is a tiny squeeze to get them into, but makes for nice storage and easy traveling. One more thing...the pink is a little more pink and less purple, which wasn't a problem.

My 7 year old loves this sleeping bag.
It's very warm and well made. It is much bigger than the toddler size. I am 5'4" and fit in just fine. I will not even attempt to get it back in the bag it came in. It does have stretch straps attached to it. The straps keep the bag in place when rolled up. I think the straps are a pin but usable. The design is really cute and my daughter was thrilled. She slept in it on to pot her bed. I definitely recommend it.

Good bag for Our Little Girl
We have a daughter in fourth grade. She needed a sleeping bag and we are not now as well off as we once were. (We weren't rich, of course, but we had higher incomes.)There were very nice, especially warm, sleeping bags that cost anywhere from $70 to hundreds of dollars. These were NOT an option, LOL.Then there were the flimsy kind with various characters on them that cost about $20, but would have left her chilly.Once again, reliable AMAZON offered a mid-range price choice, of high quality. This bag is very warm and will be good for your average camp or sleepover, even in mildly chilly weather. If you are truly camping outdoors, say in arctic Canada you will need to go to sporting goods sites, of course!Walmart has two kinds of bags for about $15 that are pretty warm, but they only come in the colors red or blue - not cute for a girl, and are large, not specifically for children. ---Mark's wife

Comfy and cozy
This sleeping bag is very light weight and warm. My kids like to play sleep over and sleep in their sleeping bags on the hardwood floor in the winter. I was concerned it wouldn't be enough cushion but they were fine and love them. The quality is good but it took me 3 times to figure out how to use the storage strap. You have to fold the sleeping bag in half, then roll up to use both straps. Also, the zipper has not gotten stuck which is a complaint on other sleeping bags. The sleeping bag looks exactly like the picture.
