I was reluctant to purchase this due to the negative reviews, however I am so glad I went with my instincts. It’s an absolutely beautiful design piece along with a safe space for building heat and it can be used as a small bbq with the bottom rack. Once the flames have settled I had put coal underneath the rack and used it to grill a few burgers and excellent for toasting marshmallows. It’s only good for cooking if a small amount and using coal for the bottom and wooden kindling to get it started and the heat. I would highly recommend this product if you want that vintage look along with a late night snack for a couple of people. You can purchase the larger version if you want more out of the bbq part. Nice and easy to assemble

Nice addition to meeting outside!Opening the box, my heart sank as I had read a review saying the chimney was missing, and on opening the box I thought the same.However, the chimney is in 2 parts, and cleverly stored within the main drum, under other parts.Constructing the item probably took an hour or so. Although there are diagrams in the instructions, in a couple of cases they don't show enough detail. Which way up etc. A couple of the chimney parts were slightly mis-shapen but went together with a little gentle encouragement.All the nuts, bolts and sprung washers were there 😊 - quite a few. Construction was basically from the bottom up.The door slides along a track at the top, but doesn't have any attachment at the bottom, so just hangs in place. This means the wood can push the door open if it moves, and opening and closing the door often results in the door dangling on one corner. A simple ring of metal along the bottom would stop the door falling away. Shame.Because the main bowl is wider than the bottom of the chimney, a lot of smoke goes around the sides of the chimney so don't expect a nice tidy exhaust. In fact the chimney is more or less a cosmetic feature. Even the cute rain guard lid for the chimney is a little pointless as the rain can go into the sides of the bowl, and as there are no drain holes the water can build up.Most of the item is made from blackened steel with a bronze effect on it. How long this will last only time will tell. I have covered it up with a plastic bag now for when not in use.Once going it produces a good heat, and without having a "back wall" allows the heat to radiate in all directions so very useful for outdoor "group of six" recent times.A very enjoyable experience, and with the niggles above, it does the job very well.A pleasure to use, for many years to come hopefully.

Easy to assemble, tall chimney to expel smoke, compact and neat.Never had a steel chiminea before so cannot comment on life expectancy but like everything else look after it and it will last.

The instructions were not that clear and within a month the nuts and bolts rusted

Came very quick. Looks nice its a shame its not cast iron but looks nice either way in the garden.

Great little log burner. Perfect size and gives off loads of heat. Can highly recommend!

Nice little steel chimnea. It's not large but most of the time it's just us 2 so it's ideal.We do put it on a wooden decking tile so it doesn't scorch the grass under it.Can't comment on how long it will last as not even had it a summer. We did get a cover so hopefully it will last

Nice little patio/ terrace firepit. It's not heavy duty. But I think it's pretty good value for the money. Only used it twice so far but nothing twisted,warped or got out of shape. I'm happy enough with my purchase
