Disappointed. I wa so looking forward for this cake stand instead received a flat tray.Had to return it.

The photo of the bamboo cake stand, looked perfect. When it arrived, I was not disappointed. It was exactly how it was advertised AND it converts into other functions other than a cake display: salad bowl, punch bowl, veggie tray...! I wanted it to display cookies and with a light lid, it is easy access. I think the price is a little high but I am happy with the product.

This may seem like high praise, but this cake stand is the best thing I ever bought on Amazon.1. It's high quality. I got the acacia wood style and both the tray and the small bowl are lovely, real wood and have a great look and feel without being heavy. The dome is clear acrylic, not glass, but that also keeps it very lightweight.2. It's pretty! I love the wood grain. It will complement almost any kitchen.3. It's multiple things! I had put off buying a cake stand for a long time because my apartment is small and unitaskers have no place here, plus a cake dome just naturally takes up space. However, this is so cleverly designed: it's a cake serving tray with a dome that locks into the groove on the lip of the tray. It's also a cake stand, if you set the tray on the upside-down small bowl. But it's also an appetizer tray: flip the platter over, and it's got 4 sections for veggies or chips, and the small bowl fits in the center for a dip. You can also invert the cake dome and use the whole setup as a serving bowl for salad or anything else (trifle, anyone?).The whole thing takes up less space to store than a traditional cake stand, offers more options for using it, and it's just so well designed. The price was right, too.My only wish is that they could have somehow figured out a way to make it into a turntable as well, but I wasn't expecting that and I think adding that mechanism would detract from the beautiful simplicity of the design.If you're on the fence, I highly recommend buying this!

Just the right size for a single cake. Very nice display.

Very versatile and pretty. The dome is not glass, so it's not heavy. Though the composite may not hold up well over time. Anyone who's had plastic resin products or acrylic knows this. But new, it's great.

Honestly the best and most versatile dessert stand/food display I have ever seen. Will be buying a few more of these in the near future
