Keep in mind this is the first strop I've ever purchased... The backing on the leather is a bit hard and because it came folded, it has kept a slight fold since removing it from the package. Not a huge deal, it's getting softer after each use, but does require pulling the strop tight when using it to compensate for the bend in the leather. I'm using it to maintain a straight razor so it's pretty short at 18 inches. I definitely wish I would have gotten at least a 24 inch strop. But more importantly it's only 2 inches wide and I wish I would have bought a 3 inch instead. Definitely not the strop's fault, and for the price it's perfectly fine. One thing to mention is that the clip doesn't swivel so you're limited to what you can hook it to. Not bad if you're new to shaving with a straight razor and want to try it without spending a lot. I'll likely purchase another strop for shaving and use this one for my smaller knives and tools.

Fast to arrive! Just what I needed. Put it to work right away on my razors. It has a course and a fine side for sharp results. This will help maintain my razors at their sharpest. Very move inferred for a great price.

great qualiy

I use this on my straight razor in between honings. I can tell it's not as nice as a lot of strops out there, but it works just fine. I can tell a difference between a shave if I forget to strop and when I remember. I think you're only supposed to strop on the suedelike leather side and not the other but I'm not 100% on that. I just use the suede side. I'll probably upgrade to a nicer strop one day, but when I do I'll still keep this one for kitchen knives and such. Again for the money, it's a good buy and I'd recommend. If it was more than $15 or so I may not say as nice of things about it since it's getting closer to other comparably priced products that are better.

Smells like gross plastic vinyl junk. Waste of money.

Garbage. Cheap fake leather with one real thin leather strip glued to it. Save your money.
