Relatively easy to fit and it should last years because it uses a bulb rather than the whole lamp being ‘the bulb’. Also, if the bulb you fit is too dim or bright it is easy to swap for a different wattage one. I have adjusted lux and sense to their lowest. The lamp is under my porch and senses movement from two or three meters outside and half a meter inside through a heavy oak door. Strangely, it is also affected by very strong wind which activates the lamp. Maybe something blowing by?The box states there is a black version available which I would have preferred.

Excellent product. Has controls for dusk (daylight) sensitivity, movement sensitivity and 'On' delay. I use this with a separate dusk sensor which also switches on a low power 'warm' light to the side of the front door. This light with the motion sensor is above the front door with a brighter lamp to better illuminate any visitors (and allows me to find the keyhole more easily!). Note that while the lamp fitting is ES27, no lamp is supplied and it will only take a short lamp. The first one I tried was too long so buy the lamp after you have bought the fitting. (I happened to have a CFL that would fit, but a 'golfball' E27 should be OK).It's interesting to note that since the motion detector is not infra-red, but a microwave detector, it also activates when I walk past the door on the inside. It takes a bit of getting used to as I had a tendency to think there was someone outside.

I fitted this above my mother-in-laws front door so that she could see the lock easily. It looks really nice and was easy to both fit and set up. Provides a reliable light source whenever she approaches her door so she is very pleased and I will be buying one for our porch when the existing sensor bulb fails!

Fitted one in the front porch, which I fitted with a 6W led light. Easy to fit and wire up the motion sensor works perfectly with the light coming on when you go halfway down the drive without being triggered by passing traffic. As others have noted it also reacts to movement inside the house, which may or may not worry you.I then fitted another to our rear porch where it also works reasonably well, the detection range in this case could be a little better but that is a minor comment.

As need to do more work on attic, has only been tested on temporary basis but looks as though it will be useful for safety on staircase if people have moved past the main lighting switch (which is through a door away from the stairs).A bit bulkier than I had imagined but not an issue for its location.

Ideal for Hallways, no more fumbling for the switch. It is very sensitive, even working through doors so that the light is already on as you walk through. I have struggled to get the light level control low enough to stop it working during the day so that it does not come on at all. That may be due to the amount of daylight in my location. Fitted a LED bulb as it doesn't arrive with one and the best bulb size is a golf ball type. Pleased with item and supplier was quick.

It is a good quality product. It comes without a bulb, so you are free to choose what bulb to install, and you can easily to replace a bulb without replacing the lamp itself. I have installed a 6W LED bulb for my garage, and it is enough as it is not for reading. You can adjust range sensitivity, you can also set sensitivity to light (e.g., lamp turns on only when it completely dark) and how long the light is on. My test indicates that the sensor detects movements at max 8 meters. I have been using it for 6 months and very pleased.

Bought this as it had good reviews and it has a proper bulb holder meaning I could replace the bulb. Reasonable quality fitment with an excellent controller. You can adjust the sensitivity, how dark before it comes on and how long it stays on and all seem to work well. Only just fitted it but so far all good...
