Clear and reasonable questions
This is a review of the CGP 10 minute tests booklet. I previously got the Targeted questions book, both of them for year 4 key stage 2 science. The book comes in a ?B4? format (shorter and slightly thinner than A4)I committed the heinous crime of making a copy of the first test sheets in the book. My 8 year old has only recently started year 4, and hasn't yet covered the topics. In contrast to the targeted questions booklet, the 10 minute tests book is all black and white. The text in my opinion is clear and crisp, and larger than the chapter books my son is currently reading, The paper is slightly on the thin side, you can see through to the page below just about. It is a bit of a pity, but hopefully shouldn't be too distracting.Test 1 was effectively 4 pages long. The complexity of the questions themselves were actually slightly simpler than the targeted question book. If my son had been paying attention he could have done them easily. As it was, he misread a question about which animal groups might have scales and thus answered it the wrong way around.Enjoy isn't the correct term for a book full of tests, but similarly to the targeted test book, my son sat down and pretty much got on with it with little argument. He is interested in 'science' and 'experiments' but not so much in writing. The majority of the questions were circle the answer, or draw a line style, so gathered the information with little added stress.Whether this is in-line with how real tests will be I do not know.Ultimately the book has been and will be useful, but possibly not for a few months, as it isn't fair really to ask questions that they have not learnt yet this year.

Great companion to other CGP resources
I'd definitely recommend getting this alongside CGP's other resources for Year 4 science in order to benefit the most from this product. But this is a great way to help children consolidate their learning.

Helpful tool
Nice book, my daughter loves working through it. She's 8 and sits happily and asks questions every now and then. Seems easy enough for her to follow alone though, and great price!

I Would Want a Study Book to Go with this One
This is a handy little book, slightly smaller than the regular A4 format. But I would feel mire comfortable if I had a targeted study book to have with this. You could use it as a guide, in theory, just to see how well your child knows this subject, how much they have learned. But I would definitely want a study book to accompany this one.

Page is low quality
I dislike the page of the book. Pages are low quality . The pictures on the back of the pages can be see through the other side of the page which is distracting the child while doing his test . Other wise It covers most of the topics for this year group . It has appropriate difficulty level . There are some “suggest” questions and “long word problems” . Those are checking their application of knowledge .
