BEST Battery on the Market!!!! 6 Nights at an averagepressure of 16
I am an Active Duty Navy Chief and Scout Master in Port Orchard, WA. About three years ago I broke my back in a training exercise this greatly hindered my ability to get outside and to enjoy the outdoors. I grew up in Northern Alaska and spent most my life camping / hunting. The damage to my back was devastating and left me unable to sleep on the ground without agonizing pain and near paralyzing numbness of my lower extremities. The recovery as you can imagine has been tough to say the least. As with anything that inhibits your ability to workout or exercise you gain weight. I have gained over 60lbs and this has caused my sleep apnea to worsen. To be specific I went from an average pressure of 10 to an average pressure of 16. To be able to get back out on the trail and take my scouts out and let them expectance the out doors I needed to find a way to take my therapy with me. Last year they came out with the Resmed Air Mini.. The expense was great but I knew the size was just what I needed. This year i was able to get one and have used it several times. Now I just needed to be able to power it on the trail. I bought 4 different batteries before I came across the MaxOak K5. Each of the other batteries had issues. one would not update the power remaining in the battery one would only power it up for a couple hours even though it was being used in a DC only configuration and the last two only lasted one night even though both manufacturers stated that they would power my Resmed Air Mini for multiple nights. The K5 has performed marvelously. I started testing it at home in my normal bed. I was able to get 6 full nights rest.. That’s (6nights) at 8.5 hours per night. I was giddy with excitement. Hoping that it wasn’t a ruse I charged up the K5 and slept on it for another 5 nights experiencing about the same percentage use each night as the first 6 nights showed (the only reason this was 5 nights and not another 6 was because we were headed camping on the 6th night so i charged it back up to be ready for the trip). I see roughly 12.5% battery drain each day this would equate to 7 nights of sleep on the battery but anyone that knows how these battery’s work would tell you that the last ~10% is hard for the machine to judge because different cells will discharge differently over the use of the battery so its best to not trust the last 10%. The K5 is a no brainer to charge just plug it in and walk away, the charge time is very reasonable at roughly 5-6hours and the digital display is very easy to read. The instructions were surprisingly clear for the fact that English is not the manufacturers primary language and I had no issue getting the proper voltage selected to power up the Cpap.. I took this on a 6mile hike and powered my Resmed Air Mini for 2 nights on the trail with great reliability. The K5 case is a very rouged plastic with a gasket to prevent water from getting in to the battery. the display is very easy to read and the buttons are very simple to operate. I have now slept on the K5 using the Resmed Air mini for 14 total nights and the battery continues to operate very well.. The unit that i got was missing some of the adapter cables so i contacted MaxOak and they sent a care package out within two days to correct the issue. My hat is off to the guys and gals at MaxOak. I will be purchasing more things from you in the future. I am VERY happy with the K5 and Super happy with their customer service. Thankyou sooo much for bringing the outdoors back into my life.. If anyone has any questions I am more than happy to answer them. This is a great company and a great product.. -Nick V. UPDATE 5/28/2019 I have now taken the MAXOAK K5 battery on 5 separate outtings lasting from 2 to 5 days. I have had no issues with the battery holding a charge or with operation of my RESMED AIR MINI.. Our outtings entale a 3 to 5 mile hike in to the camp site so space and weight are a premimum. The K5 is definatly heavier then I would like it to be but to be honnest the fact that i can get 6 nights of restfull sleep (Roughly 8.5 hrs each night) out of it makes it TOTALY worth it. I had looked at several different batteries before purchasing the K5 and even tried a few out with minimal sucess mostly due to my higher than normal pressure. The pictures from above are after 3 long nights (one night at about 8.5hours and the other two closer to 10hrs each) in the mountins at roughly 3000 feet of elevation. On previous outtings before I had the K5 I would only get a few hours of sleep each day leaving me drained and grumpy. Now I am able to wake up feeling refreshed and quite honnestly not wanting to get out of bed because I am so comfortable and sleep so well.. This has been a life changer. I am happy to answer questions if you have any. But if you are on the fence please just order one you will be happy you did. Nick V. Update 10/31/2019 I have now added another 15 charge and discharge cycles on the K5 and it continues to perform just like day one! I had a few questions for the MAXOAK team about the buttons and different information that their website said verses what the Amazon post said. The personnel at MAXOAK immediately updated the info on their website to correct the discrepancies. They are probably the most responsive company I have dealt with. Cimy is Amazing! He answered my questions and was very helpful finding a power cord for my AirMini. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE K5 and THE MAXOAK BRAND! WELL DONE!

Worked well until they died, been through 2 of these.
I have had two of these, both worked well at first however both died without being used much. They are only useful if they are fully charged as you have no idea WHEN you will need to use the battery. However it seemed to me keeping them plugged in after charge maybe messed them up. I am unsure. Neither of them were used more then 2-3 times total. So the battery should have lasted much longer. But one day it would just no longer hold a charge. if you do not keep them plugged in, the battery loses it's charge over time, and is a headache should you need them when power goes out. They look good, they traveled well, but in the end You need something dependable these were not. They did not hold charge well when unplugged, and they failed after very few uses. For a CPAP you need a device that can STAY plugged in or hold charge a long time so it's always ready to go. I wanted to like them, but for the price they are miserable, and neither lasted longer then a year. Dissapointed.

Very Dependable
I have years of experience with this MaxOak, having bought it in 2019. Use it to power my ResMed S9 model VPAP when van camping on road trips. Works like a charm. However, it is very important to NOT use the VPAP's humidifier feature unless you are willing and able to recharge the MaxOak every day. When I tried to use the humidifier, it killed the battery in about seven hours. But with the humidifier disconnected and the heated hose replaced by a dead one (Slimline) my VPAP, which draws 4 amps/hour, lasts several days. Specifically, I find that it draws down about 2% of 100% full charge for each hour of use. Examples: Starting with a 100% charge, it will have 84% charge left after eight hours of use (100%-(8hrs.x2%)=84%) and 68% after another eight hour night (84%-(8hrs.x2%)=68%) and so on. The info screen on the battery shows what percent of charge remains in the battery at any point. I find this 2%/hour formula holds up very reliably until the remaining charge gets down to about 20%. At that point, it sometimes continues to drain at 2%/hour, and sometimes the bottom falls out and it drains considerably faster, perhaps twice as fast or more. Therefore, I always recharge it at about 25% just to be safe. Admittedly, my MaxOak has a rather comfy existence, riding in a padded container on a shelf in the back of my tricked-out-for-camping Chevyvan, where it is warm and dry and clean. When traveling it never leaves that environment, since I sleep in the van. I charge it as needed using a DC to AC converter plugged into a cigarette lighter as I go down the road. When I am not on a trip, I keep the MaxOak in my house so it is not exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures inside the parked van. It has never lost one bit of charge even after many months of storage in the house. I highly recommend this product.

Excellent product
I just started CPAP therapy last year and needed a way to power my Resmed Airsense 10 while camping and during power outages. I also have a HDM Z1 Auto. I'm currently on Auto-CPAP therapy, with the minimum pressure set to 6 cm H20 and the maximum pressure set to 15 cm H20. I suggest disabling the humidifier, heated hose and WiFi. The humidifier and heated tube will drain the battery very quickly (like 10% charge per hour). I doubt you'd even get a full night if you leave the humidifier and heated hose turned on, unless you turn these settings all the way down. With the above settings disabled and the battery completely charged, I used 15% of the available power for 1 night (10 hours) with the Resmed Airsense 10. The HDM Z1 Auto (which lacks a humidifier and heated hose option) only used about 12% of the available power for 1 night (10 hours). Unfortunately, I've been unable to test the battery while tent camping, but not due to any issues with the battery. On the first trip of the year (Memorial Day, to the White Mountains in NH), I brought the battery and the Resmed Airsense 10. However, it was 30°F at night and the CPAP blowing cold air was too uncomfortable to tolerate so I skipped therapy. On the second trip (Father's Day weekend, to Cape Cod), I once again brought the battery and the Resmed Airsense 10, but I had to setup the tent in the rain and the interior of the tent was completely soaked. Since water and expensive electronic devices don't mix well, I had no choice but to skip therapy again. Hopefully my planned camping trip in August will fare better (though it's historically been a very wet trip in the past unfortunately). The manufacturer includes a nice case for travel. The battery comes with the various adapters needed to power popular CPAP models which are listed in the product description. I like that the power brick has a red light that will change to green once the battery is fully charged. I've also used the USB port on the unit to charge phones. The manufacturer's support team in China is very helpful. They will contact you to ensure that the unit will work with your CPAP before you receive it. They will also provide prompt support for any questions or issues after you receive it. Be sure to follow the instructions in the manufacturer's YouTube videos to ensure proper operation of the battery and your CPAP device. I found that one of the units tends to take a while to charge from 99% to 100%, so you might notice that issue as well. Test the unit at home before you take it with you camping or travelling. It's good to get a sense of how to use the battery at home for the first time versus rushing to figure everything out while you're travelling. (Please note, I received several test units from manufacturer.)

Sleep Saver While Camping
I searched and searched and searched to find the right battery back up for my CPAP. I was going camping (dry camping) and need to make sure I was still going to get good quality sleep. I got the power bank a few days before leaving for my trip but never opened the box. We got to our camp site, got everything set up, and to my surprise it was at 98%. I used it that night and had absolutely no issues. I did forget to unplug the power pack from my CPAP the next day, and it ended up draining the battery. The last day I ran my generator and plugged it in to charge. After four hours of run time, the power bank was at 99%. I used it again my final night of camping. This time I was going to see how much the CPAP depletes the power. I was in bed by 2300hrs (11pm) and woke up about 4am to use the bathroom. When I checked to see how much power was used, the power bank was somewhere between 73% - 78%. When I finally got out of bed it was about 7am and the meter was at 51%. In conclusion, I am very pleased with the MAXOAK Battery Backup. It is nicely compact and fits next to the bed in our travel trailer. In the box it came with the correct power cord I needed for my CPAP, along with a few others that fits other CPAP machines. Charging took a while at 25%/per hour, but I did not care because I was going to get a good nights rest. It is solid and does not feel cheap or cheaply made. It was also simple to set up and use with easy to follow step by step directions. My only cons would be: 1. To have it come some type of carry/travel case. I had to repack it into the original box for the trip home. It is now a huge deal or deal breaker but it would make traveling with this item a little easier. This is why I gave it 4 stars. 2. Other color options would be a cool to have. Again this is not a deal breaker, as I purchased it anyway.

Amazing!!!
I don't normally do reviews but I felt it necessary to share my experience with this battery. First let me say I've wanted to get a battery for the past 2 1/2 years when I first got my CPAP. The first power outage I had without it was a HORRIBLE night sleep and there's been many outages since due to the wind storms where I live. We were planning a camping trip so I really wanted and needed to get a battery. I first looked at the battery that is specifically designed for my machine through the company. $300 and reviews say it's good for basically one night...NOPE! Not spending that much money for a 1 night use! So I started looking on Amazon. I found multiple batteries that claimed to work for CPAP machines as well as other things but reviews said they didn't work. I then found this battery and I am SOOOO happy I bought it!! It works amazing, more than 1 night and you can also charge anything that has a USB on the end. I charged it to 100% before camping (it was already at 83% charged. The first charge it took about 10 hours to go from 83% to 100% so be sure to charge it right away. The following charges do NOT take that long). I also followed all instructions and turned off heated tubing and didn't use the humidifier. Camping night 1: 6.5 hours of sleep: 91% then a 2 1/2 hour nap: 87% Camping night 2: 7.5 hours of sleep 75% battery left. Camping night 3: 8 hours of sleep and then a 2 hour nap: 61% Camping night 4: by this time all portable chargers were dead and I listened to music on my phone to fall asleep. So I had my CPAP running for 7 hours and my phone charging for 7 hours while playing music, 23% battery left. So my opinion: battery could easily last 6+ nights with an average of 7 hours of sleep per night if you detach the humidifier and turn off heated tubing and don't charge anything else. I have not tested how quickly the battery drops with those items plugged in, but based on what others have said I would say maybe 2 nights...possibly 3 but I don't know that for sure. I do know this is an amazing battery and I paid less money for this one that lasted 4 nights camping and could've definitely ran more than I would've for the factory one that lasts ONE night.

One strong battery!! ***updated rating***
This battery is very powerful in a small package!!! Had to use customer service and Cimy was very responsive! For this price you will not find a longer lasting battery. Able to charge multiple devices and also 5v charging. Great buy!! Pros: small package. Easy carry handle Very powerful (will list usage times below) Great packaging with all DC cables needed Multiple voltage settings Easy to use once you figure it out Cons Battery does not function while plugged in to AC outlet. This eliminates the possibility of auto swap over when power goes out. I bought a small alarm for my outlet to wake me if power goes off so I can swap to the battery Video on YouTube shows that you can fly on airline with battery. Clearly states it cannot be taken on airplane when you receive the item. Usage times using Phillips resporonics dreamstation Night 1- 7:45 hrs with humidifier on. 100 to 60% Night 2- 7:45 hrs with humidifier on. 60 to 9% Re-Charged Night 1- 8:00 hrs without humid 100-87% Night 2- 8:25 hrs without humid blu, modem 73% Night 3- 7:00 hrs without humid blue modem 61% Night 4- 7:35 hrs without humid, Bluetooth, modem 48% Night 5- 8:15 hrs without humidifier, Bluetooth, modem 32% ***heated tube with humidity set to 2 was significantly less. Battery lasted 4.5 hours on a full charge. Heat and humidity setting really drain this! Buy regular tube and run dry and you will get a few good nights out of it I do not like sleeping without the humidifier so I stopped after night 5. You get the gist ****UPDATE**** I used this during a trial period for the state listed above. It sits on my nightstand waiting for power outage which we have not had since this review and now the battery will not even power on. When I plug it in it reads 100% charged but will not power on its own or to my machine. Absolute junk. Very disappointed.

Amazing! Worth every penny!
So I've been looking for a battery back-up for my CPAP for power outages and camping for a few years but I didn't want to really spend a ton of money. So my brother had bought a battery back-up for HIS CPAP. He maybe got 10hrs of CPAP use time with his and he spent around $150-$175 I believe, so it really wasn't that great. You'd HAVE TO charge it for a full weekend. So I've been checking this particular one out. It's a little pricey but if it worked really good and I could use it all weekend without charging I'd be happy. So I decided to buy this one. Let me tell you...This thing BLEW ME AWAY! I tried it when I first got it and I slept one night with it, WITHOUT using the humidifier which I usually don't do in the summer anyways. I slept hard that night. 9hrs to be exact. The battery only went down 16%! I was like wow! So I went camping during the 4th of July for 3 days. I slept for 8-9hrs each night. I couldn't believe it...It was at 63% by the end of the weekend! I could not believe it lasted that long. You could honestly sleep 5 days at 8hrs a night using the battery and not worry about it at all! Plus it comes with all the right cables for a multiple CPAPS. If you're looking for a dependable battery back-up battery I PROMISE YOU this thing will blow you away! I also bought the case for it which was fairly cheap around $25 and it is splash proof and holds all the cables. I was going to buy the car charger for it but honestly you do not have too. This thing is amazing!
