This Gotrax hoverboard kart seat attachment has been an awesome upgrade and easily one of the best accessories we’ve bought for our hoverboard. Assembly was straightforward and took about 15–20 minutes, with all the parts fitting together well and feeling solid once tightened. I paired it with an 8.5” hoverboard and the fit was perfect — the frame clamps on securely and doesn’t shift or loosen during rides. The seat is surprisingly comfortable with decent padding, and the adjustable length makes it great for both kids and adults, which is a big plus in our house. Steering is smooth and very intuitive using the hand controls, and it feels much more stable and confidence-boosting than riding the hoverboard standing up, especially for kids. It rides best on smooth pavement or indoor floors, but that’s expected and doesn’t take away from the fun. Overall, it completely transforms a regular hoverboard into a go-kart-style ride that’s safe, sturdy, and ridiculously fun. My daughter loves it and I can also sit there even as adult. totally love it!

This kart attachment was surprisingly quick to put together. The frame adjusts easily, which is helpful since my kid is still growing. It hooked onto the hoverboard securely, and the straps stayed tight even after a long ride. The seat is comfortable enough for short play sessions, and the handles make it easy to turn, stop, and spin around. Out on smooth pavement, it rides really well. My kid loves that they can sit and glide instead of balancing the whole time. It’s also a nice way for me to feel safer letting them use the hoverboard since it feels much more controlled. It’s been a fun backyard and driveway toy that gets used a lot.

My kids have enjoyed these very much. They have been using for quite some time, and they have held up fairly well. one complaint is the quality of the straps which hold the seat to the hoverboard. They tore pretty quickly, and I had to order new straps multiple times. I ended up coming up with an alternate solution which worked much better

UPDATE 2/19/25- I have downgraded to one star and would make zero if able. GoTrax received my return on 1/28/25 and has not shipped a replacement for the defective item. I will be notifying Amazon and my banking institution to report FRAUD. I have already contacted the BBB and seen several similar complaints logged. GoTrax customer support continues to say to have patience and that a replacement will be shipped within "3-5 days." Please note, we started this process on January 5th... Do yourself a favor and do not buy this product. The front wheel is defective and as the card in the box stated, all issues should be dealt with GoTrax customer service. After several back-and-forth emails and videos sent, they agreed to replace our unit, but only after we ship the entire system back. They provided a return label but it still cost us $15 more to ship it to them with boxing/packing, etc. It’s been over a week since we sent it out and it’s lost in transit (likely due to the southern snow storms). Still incredibly frustrating since we won’t get a replacement until after they receive the faulty one. My son loved this gift more than anything and it’s disappointing for him to be without it for likely weeks on end. All they really needed to do was send us a replacement front wheel. I’m not sure why the process has to be so cumbersome and expensive. I will try to update again in a week if anything has changed. I should have reached out to Amazon first, but regrettably followed the instructions inside the box.

It is stable and safer than riding a hoverboard normally. It has decent speed but can’t really get to the point where it is unsafe. (Good for the kiddos) you can steer sharply and gradually while not able to yeet you off. It is fun and can teach your kids motor skills. It has good design, compatible with most hoverboards. It is functional and acts as advertised. I would highly recommend this hoverboard.

My son was so excited with the kart seat, and it has been such a fun addition to his hoverboard. The setup was simple—it only took me about 10 minutes to attach to his hoverboard, and the instructions were easy to follow. It was easy to get a right fit for him with the adjustable frame length, and the handlebar control gives him great steering control. He picked it up right away. The seat is comfortable, and the overall build feels sturdy.
