Casio fx-83GTCW Grey Scientific Calculator

This model is fit for purpose. The design is really nice and the grey colour option is a welcomed choice from the other standard colours.

Does the job well for college classes, no complaints.

Perfect item for the teen kids to get prepared for GCSE exams!

I thought I'd buy the grey colour but the problem is whilst the calculator itself is great. The yellow writing on the grey background is really hard to see. I find myself tilting the calculator to catch the light and make the writing stand out. Should have just gone with black. The calculator itself as a device is great. Easy to use and I've not had any issues with it so far. Using for my university degree....living with my decision for some time...

My daughter liked the colour. The device is also good and has all the functions required by a student in secondary grade

If you're a calculator nerd, yes granted these aren't the same as the old ones. Functionality wise, there's some oddities. However, if you're giving it to a child say for high school use it's perfectly fine as chances are at high school, they won't be using 7/8ths of the functions anyway. However, would I use one for university or in a professional scenario? Probably not. The methodology how to access certain functions is a bit clunky compared to how the old Casios used to be. But again, that probably only affects 5% of those people who may buy this calculator, and for those like me, you're probably still rocking a calculator from the late 1990s because it still works fine
