"Honey Do" List
On my "Honey Do" list for this spring is cleaning the siding on our house - it is overdue. Not horrendous looking, but definitely dirty. It'll could probably use painted in the coming years, but we'll extend that project out with a good cleaning. Did the 1st floor section on 2 sides the other day with this product (as well as a particularly green sidewalk section in the backyard. Happy to say my method worked well! Now, I've seen some complaints about maybe not being as effective. I mixed this 1:2 with water in a pump sprayer (extend the product a bit, since I pressure wash), gave the surfaces to be cleaned a really good soak down - I mean dripping, wait a bit, and then soak down again with the cleaning solution. Then let it stand and do its work (a minute or two, not to dry), then I went through and rinsed it off with an electric pressure washer. Now, many would say "well, the pressure washer did all the work, you could have just started with that" - maybe, but in some test runs, I found that using the cleaning concentrate helped loosen and pre-clean/prepare the surface. The pressure wash step was just a quick blow through, zip and done, whereas with just the pressure washer, I had to get closer and kind of work at troubled areas, where you get a little worried about being too heavy on siding/paint, stain, etc. Cleaner first just makes it easier, and you don't need to worry. The sidewalk drained into the grass, and I didn't notice any lawn death. I did spray down the ground with water so solution would at least be off the blades of grass and down into the soil; I don't want my dogs eating grass covered in this stuff. All in all, I'm satisfied.

It works... I think
Bottom Line----------------I used it on metal siding, wood siding and vinyl siding, and it cleaned all three, with no damage. In some spots I did need to also scrub to get everything off, but it was spots instead of the whole wall. The Details----------------I have a hundred year old farm house, with old wood siding, and I'm very careful on how I clean them. It also has Vinal Siding from an add on done many years ago, and metal siding from the most recent addition. Some of the front and one side develops very noticeable mold/mildew (not sure if actually mold, but it looks like it).So I sprayed this on and let it sit. I sprayed along the bottom first, with a pressure sprayer, then got in the latter and sprayed along the top. By the time I was done with the top, it was time to rinse the bottom. The job goes pretty quick, and on the whole it works pretty well. The areas with mold, needed to be scrubbed with a brush. A brush on a regular broom poll, and another on a 15' extension worked well for me.I was hoping not to have to do any brushing, that it would all just rinse off, but no luck. I also had to scrub some areas that had this faint dark gray "algae" looking stuff. The areas that didn't seem to have any growth came out nice and clean with just the spray and rinse. It did clean the wood, vinyl, and metal all equally well, and didn’t damage or discolor anything. In the end it seems to have worked, I didn't have to scrub the whole house, and the house looks nice and clean, but it's certainly not the case, where you just spray it on, rinse it off and your done.

Smells like bleach
I used this on concrete, aluminum siding and outdoor furniture this past weekend. It smells like I want to say is bleach. I honestly couldn’t tell a difference between using this and just using my pressure washer alone without cleaner.

Big.Fan - if you need to clean….
I’m lazy and hate to clean, but for some reason I’ve very attached to my pressure washer and pretending like I know what I’m doing. Plus you can see actual results. But taking out the pressure washer, hooking up the hoses, the power, etc. is a big pain and unless I’m going all in, I look for simpler ways to get stuff done.So I’m also a big fan of Green Gobbler’s other products, especially their drain cleaner which works without being caustic. I saw this and had to try this product. No disappointments - mix this with a 1:1 ratio into your sprayer and put on the hose and spray your house, railings, deck, fence, brickwork, driveway, well, its almost as much fun as the first time I got the pressure washer going. After about 15-20 minutes per rare wash it off and yeah - it really does make a difference. Is it 100%? Nope - absolutely not. Is it 90% - well it was for me on a stucco house, brick driveway, vinyl fence, tile stairs, metal railings - darn - its amazing how grungy stuff gets in the south, but the seems to work. Is it better than that 30-second mold remover - well that stuff never really worked for me and just seemed like chlorine to me, so I’d say yes this is much better. Touch=up works, but you do need to hose hard in an areas which didn’t just drip off to begin with. A brush helps too.Actually quite pleased with this product. It worked and did a great job with little effort. I’m a big fan.

Works great, no discoloration on painted surfaces
I wanted to make sure I don’t end up with whitish stains on my house siding from this cleaner, so I first tested on a small patch: the paint color stayed the same, just brighter from removing dirt, the color does not look dulled nor washed out. The bleach smell is really strong, prompted me to wear a respirator with cartridges for organic vapors. After the non-discoloration test, I hand-sprayed a larger patch of the siding that keeps getting a greenish hue, it’s an area always shaded by a hemlock that grows too close to the house. Followed the directions and this solution cleaned like a champ! Also, the hemlock seems to be unaffected, two weeks so far and no change in foliage.Third use: granite slab, years-long built dark area where a mat keeps dirt and water trapped under it. Not a perfect result, but spectacularly better. I did not risk repeating the treatment, would mean a higher concentration of the chemicals from this solution reaching the plant beds close-by, but I will repeat the treatment in a few months.
