Great for bonding pieces of carpet together
Good product that did the job of bonding 2 pieces of carpet together after inserting a patch to repair a worn area of carpet. Watched a You Tube video so I knew how to use it. Used an iron on the hot setting with damp cloth on the carpet to melt the glue on the tape and bond the pieces together. Seems to be a strong adhesion. Pity it didn’t come in a smaller role.

Excellent product.
Used it to patch old carpet with new pieces. It was easy to use and worked really well using a domestic iron and a teatowel. We were planning to do it upside down and iron the backing of the tape, but it was too difficult to place the pieces of carpet accurately so we did it right side up, sliding strips of tape under the joins and ironing on the top of the carpet. We used the iron on the steam setting, pressing hard for a few minutes, then going over it all again a few minutes later. To our surprise it worked even though the carpet was quite thick. The carpet is made of wool, though, so we were able to use quite a hot iron, which might not be possible with synthetic carpet.

Does the job well at a reasonable price
I used this to repair a small section of damaged carpet, melting the adhesive with a domestic iron over an old tea towel to keep the adhesive off the sole plate. I applied heat to the rear of the carpet (hessian side rather than pile side). Worked perfectly and left me with a neat, flat join. I now have a huge amount of spare jointing tape for any future joints I might need to make...

Works
Works. But you need to understand how it works. It’s not that simple to apply.

Ace joining tape.
Very strong join when cooled down.

Lives up to its description
I used the tape to replace quite a large piece of damaged carpet. Previously, on small areas, I had used glue, but wanted to ensure that this time I used the professional choice to ensure the larger section stayed firm. So far, so good. Pleased because it has lengthened the life of my carpet for a while longer! I guess I agree that the only downside was the fact that I didn’t need anywhere near as much as a whole roll, but then I have it should it be required again! Good delivery... next day, even in the pandemic.

Used with a home iron to join two rugs together
Used to join two famous Swedish home store rugs together as nowhere in the world sells a 2m square blue rug. Very easy to use, placed the tape face down on the back of the Rug seams and used a home iron to melt the glue through the paper backing. Took about 20 seconds to melt the glue directly under the iron and slowly moved it down the length of the tape. No mess whatsoever and very strong invisible seam achieved. Cracking product.

Professional quality - amazing stuff.
A very generous roll, much larger than I was expecting, and I am delighted with this purchase especially now that I have used it very successfully for an invasive repair of a damaged carpet. This stuff is wonderful. If you are attempting a carpet repair, then do NOT buy double sided tape, and do NOT buy any of that super-adhesive tape. This single sided ‘seam tape’ that you heat with an iron on a wet cloth is exactly what you want for carpet repairs. It even stands up to rigorous carpet washing. Gives a truly professional finish.
