Allersearch Allergen Wash Laundry Detergent together with Pet+ Shampoo doing wonders for family and pet...!!!
So far so good. We purchased the Wash Laundry Detergent and the Pet+ Shampoo together.Even though we already knew that our daughter has some allergy to dogs we took the risk and took in a dog from the rescue home. After a couple of day we realized that it was not going to be easy as my daughter started itching (eyes and nose) and some sneezing. I did a lot of research on the web and decided to give these products a try before deciding if we had to give the dog back or not. We washed everything (throws, curtains, bedding, clothes, etc....)that would go into the washing machine with this detergent. At the same time we bathed the dog (Nika) with the Allersearch Pet+ Shampoo. To maximize the efects of this we also put in place two air purifiers with Hepa filters, one in the main living area and the other in my daughters bedroom where we always keep the door shut. So, even though I cannot be 100% sure that these products are the cure for dog allergy sufferers, but by using them in conjunction with the air purifiers and common sense, I have to say that I am very pleased with the results. My daughter has not suffered a runny nose or sore eye since and only very occasionally sneezes. She cuddles and strokes the dog now and they are bonding nicely..Very happy indeed...!!!

Seems to work!
My lab puppy leaves me with a headache; I get a sense of a 'fug'/cloud of fumes about him, even when bathed, and if he's resting near my feet I quickly get a headache at the back of my neck. Weird, I know! It's not so bad that I need to get rid of him, but it was making me keep my distance, so having searched for a product like this and then bought it, I was very pleased to notice that the smell has gone and so, too, the headaches seem much reduced, though I can still sense his 'cloud' a little. Allergies, I imagine, are often difficult for sufferers to describe (and diagnose), and I imagine onlookers thinking we're mad or making it up, but I know that there was an issue, and that this has made a diference. Success!

Very please
This product is brilliant! I bought this product as my Japanese Spitz, a very fluffy white dog, needed a bath. I am however pretty allergic to my dog meaning that I sneeze, my nose runs, my chest feels funny, my eyes swell and itch etc and the last time I bathed him my allergies were made worse because his fur shed a lot more meaning that his dander was everywhere! This time I bathed him, yes he shed fur, but no where near as much and the fur he was shedding had no dander on it meaning that I didn't itch at all! His coat is now very soft and his coat looks brighter! It says its fragrance free but it does have a light, pleasant scent that when dry is not noticeable. His fur looks lovely and fluffy and my allergies have definitely lessened because of this product!

Brilliant Product! Highly recommended
Brilliant product. Dispenses easily so you can do it one handed while washing the dog. Nice smell of tea tree, but not over powering. Works really well to keep my allergies at bay with my cavapoo. Highly recommend this product to allergy sufferers.

Shiny fur afterwards but no nice smell
Bought this because I didn't feel like the old shampoo I had was conditioning my cats coat after washing (don't wash him often but he does get covered in oil and goo sometimes). Also my husband is allergic do thought this may help on that front too.Hard to say whether this has helped with husband's allergies, but my cats coat was so shiny afterwards!Sadly, no scent though, which is a shame, since a beautiful smelling kitty would have been the icing on the cake! :-)

Really works!
Amazing shampoo. I genuinely have a dog allergy which was tested as medium. However dogs cause me hives and repeated sneezing. I now live with a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. When I get sneezy is usually to the end of the month near bath time. Initially I used it a couple of times a week on Ginger. Really impressed.

It's OK
Just brought home our new Cocker Spaniel puppy to discover the wife is slightly allergic to him, DOH! Bought this to see if it helps and we've not convinced it does, she still has to take antihistamines everyday. Once it's been used up will probably swap to something that smells a bit nicer.

It works for me and my dog
I have a white staffie with sensitive skin and this shampoo is gentle enough for her while still helping with my asthma. I'm mildly alergic to her but when she is washed with this I'm fine. Maybe another shampoo would work as well? but while her skin is healthy and my asthma is ok we won't be changing.

The best part of this product is the lid to the ...
I can't speak to the allergy relief of this shampoo. I bought this when my husband was having extreme allergy problems and was blaming it on the dog. So as we waiting for his allergy testing appointment, I bought this. A month goes by and it turns out he isn't allergic to dogs. But the shampoo itself has a pleasant smell, it lathers well, and the dog's coat is shiny and sleek. The best part of this product is the lid to the bottle. Instead of having the standard one hole opening, it has multiple holes! This allows the flow of shampoo to come out way easier. I don't have to squeeze the bottle at all. I had no idea I needed this bottle cap in my life. Why aren't all caps like this?!I also like the concept that the allergy relief should last a month. You really should wash your dog as infrequently as you can get away with. Just like with human hair, if you wash it too frequently, it strips the natural oils. How easily the oil is stripped will depend on the type of fur.

Not As Good As Expected
I have severe allergies to cats, (animal dander). This cat decided to have a litter on my back porch, I am now the owner of 5 kittens. In order to keep them I needed a product that will allow me to breathe. This works okay, I have to use much more often than other commentators have indicated. My kitties don't like this product at all.

Made the impossible POSSIBLE
I've never written a product review but this warrants the effort. Growing up I was severely allergic to cats, but being a cat lover I suffered through the pain. One day my granny came home with a small white bottle labeled "allerpet" (about 1998) I squeezed the liquid onto a wash cloth and vigorously scrubbed my cats and it got me through the roughest part of my allergies.Fast forward to current day and I am have son who is severely allergic to cats. We found out about his allergy when one night I was staying at a friend's house and my BF brought our son, who was about 2 at the time, over to pick up our house key. My friend has two full grown cats and I would consider her to be a very clean person. After being in the house for the first time ever for about 10 minutes, my son's eyes swelled shut and she broke out in hives all over. His throat swelled shut and he was struggling to breath. We had to give him adult Benadryl and took him out side right way. Thankfully we didn't have to call 911. We knew then that owning a pet was out of the question. Later that year we took him to see a pulminologist and allergen specialist where a battery of blood work was done. They Tested for all manner or allergens, and on a scale of 0-100,100 being Death, my son scored in the high 80's for cat dander. Confirmation that we would never ever be able to have a pet. He was also diagnosed with chronic sever asthma. The kind that has kept him in the hospital at least once a month since birth and on 5 different medicines a day, every day, since then.Today my son is now 5. He and his brother have begged and begged for a pet and I have had to sadly explain no over and over to them.when my oldest son was diagnosed with anxiety depression and PTSD his pediatrician suggested maybe getting a therapy animal to help calm his nerves. Ender (my younger) had shown some tolerance to dog dander so there was a glimmer of hope. At the time and place we lived a pet just wasn't and option. Once we moved, the talk of a therapy pet came back up but it was slow going. One day I was driving home from the store and saw a sign that said "free kittens". I don't know what came over me but I stopped and picked out two tiny kittens, sisters from the same liter. They were out door kittens and fairly wild. After I took them home both my boys got very very sick. Coughing, asthma attacks and every allergy symptom in the book. I felt like the worst parent ever, because the boys had grown attached to the kittens and it looked like I would have to give them away. Many tears were shed and pleas to give it one more day. I went to our local big box pet supply store and asked them about "allerpet". No one had heard of it and they pointed me to a spray that was very expensive but I bought it hoping it would work. I soaked the house in. It. Washed the bedding in scalding hot water. Vacuumed twice a day. And nothing. The. Lays were still sick and any hope I had of keeping the Kittens. Then I got on Amazon as a last ditch effort and searched for the product of my youth. And Amazon never disappoints. I found this product and was over joyed but skeptical. It wasn't exactly what I had used before but the reviews seemed genuine, so I purchased it and waited patiently. Once it came I sent the boys to their dads, cleaned the house top to bottom and gave the kittens a full on scub down.Once my boys came back our life started to change. Noses dried up, coughs abated. The longer they were home coupled with weekly baths of the kittens a miracle that no one believed was possible happened. My sons are now not affected by the cat hair and dander. Ender can even bury his face in the cat's fur and nary a sniffle. He still has asthma, and he is still on all his meds, but with out a doubt, this product has changed our lives. Other animals still make him sick. Other dusty houses make them sick. When we come home their symptoms clear up! The kittens can even sleep in the bedroom and it's not an issue. I have never been more grateful to a product and company. This is a bottle of magic. Everyone who comes to visit comments on how soft the kittens fur is. There is no cat hair clinging to furniture and there is no odor of animal. The kittens tolerate the product well and it's easier to use than flea dip as you don't have to let it sit on them. Just saturate the fur head to tail tip, scrub down to their skin and rinse. They smell great and our family is able to experience the joy of pet ownership. Please do your self or loved one a favor and try this out.

Greatly reduced my wife's allergic reaction to my dog!
This shampoo is the only thing that we've tried that seems to minimize my wife's reaction to the dog. My dog is a border collie / Rottweiler mix, and he sheds quite a bit. I've read many articles about people's allergic reactions to dogs, many articles claim it is the allergens that they bring in from outside that get trapped within their fur. Others claim it is from their saliva; still others say it is from the dead skin flakes (dander). All I can say for sure is that so far this is the only product that seems to have helped, and it seems to have helped a great deal!! My dog doesn't have to live in the garage anymore, he is able to stay in the house as long as I wash him every 3-4 days. Washing him so much hasn't dried out his skin either, even though he has proven to be quite sensitive to this with other shampoos.Pros: Greatly reduced my wife's allergic symptoms when the dog is inside the houseCons: none that I can see!

surprised
I bought this to use on my two little dogs. The reviews were all good so I splurged. My mom is allergic to them so I thought it would be worth it. Little did I know this stuff STINKS!! It's horrible. I was tempted to wash my dogs with this then use their regular shampoo over it to take away some of the smell. When I visited my mom, she asked me when I washed them last beacause she could barely breathe. She had no idea that I washed them the day before and used this stuff. So if you want to waste you money, this would be a great product to do so!!
