Great satisfaction from changing the filter myself rather than paying the rip off dealer to do it. And instead of servicing your car, the dealer often just washes it and hands it back. So better to change all the regular items yourself if you can; oil, oil filter, pollen or combination filter, air filter, fuel filter. No need to change your brake fluid every 2 years. Just check the water content with a tester you can order on Amazon. The above will keep you away from your local rip off dealer. Of course, if you have a cam belt engine or a DSG gearbox you will have extra maintenance. So next time you change your car, get one without either for low maintenance, low cost motoring. Perfect fit for my W211 Mercedes E220CDi (2006), very high quality interior air intake filter, which was already fitted to my car by a Mercedes specialist garage who carried out the last service, so I just replaced with same great filter.

I bought this to replace an old cabin air filter which had not been changed for years by the previous owner of my car. On opening the box the first impression was of a quality and well-made piece of kit. Fitting took seconds and the old filter was a hideous mess of trapped dirt and grime. This new filter was a dramatic improvement. The smells and condensation which previously plagued the car were immediately replaced by clean fresh air. The change was very noticeable. I will change my filter frequently from now on as l live in a city with a lot of pollution and if a filter is not working correctly the pollution ends up in my lungs as well as my family’s. This is why I opted for the active charcoal version rather than the cheaper paper version. New filters are far cheaper than new lungs! The Amazon fitment information was correct for this, and indeed for other car items I have bought before this. Recommended.

No complaints and perfect fit. This is the cabin air filter for the 2006 Mercedes E350. It should not be confused with the engine air filter. The filter should fit other 3rd generation E350s from 2003 - 2006. Unlike other cars, the cabin air filter is located under the hood as opposed to behind the glove box. All you need is a 10 mm socket wrench and turn the single socket until it is loose, then remove the housing. Note the "teeth" edge when removing it as this is how the secret to putting the housing back on. Remove the old cabin air filter, clean the housing a bit, and note the orientation of the airflow. The replacement filter can really go one way so it is hard to mess it up. Unfortunately, newer Mercedes are much harder to remove the cabin air filter so if you still have a third generation E350; consider yourself lucky as it is a simple DIY. If you know what you are doing, it should take no more than 10 minutes.
