SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification All-In-One Exam Guide, Second Edition

Very good reference

I pre-ordered this guide months ago with high hopes and it has not disappointed. I finally received it early last week and have worked through this guide front to back, including the online system, to provide a review of the content in comparison to the BASK, the quality of it, and the quality/quantity of practice questions provided. All in all, I find this updated guide to be much better than the first, which is surprising because the first edition was pretty good. The content is easy to follow and the online system helps with compounding learning and competency nicely. If you're on a budget or would rather save money on learning resources to provide yourself a greater reward after passing, this guide will serve you well. I actually like its formatting better than the SHRM LMS. Kindle version: $39.99 Paperback version: $59.79 It's well-written, well-aligned, and connected the content across domains (super important), it's easy to follow and the online content is solid. Definitely worth the price point.

Solid set of practice questions to help prepare.

This book is packed with critical information to help pass the exam. However, you must give your self ample time to study if you want to succeed. Follow the recommendations for studying, no matter how much HR experience you have attained.

BUY THIS BOOK!!! I took the SHRM-SCP test this past Monday and passed on the first try. So many of the concepts from this book are applied on the test. The book I used to prep for the CP test did not prepare me for it (but luckily I passed since most of the questions are situational). So I was skeptical on if this book would and it did. I would highly recommend. It's also a great book to read and have around for various tips and as a great knowledge base. I bought this book and used PocketPrep to prep for this test, so I spent under $100 and passed. No expensive courses are needed if you have this book!

This book is a must have for any HR professional. It is a great resource for reference and study purposes.

I believe this book does a good job of covering the basics of what is needed for the exam. However, I found typos, repetitive quiz questions, repetitive content, inconsistent sequencing of topics, and different "voices" in writing style to be distracting at best and confusing at worst. Examples include: Replacing the phrase "identity alignment" with "identify alignment" in the concept's explanation, naming the four aspects of a theory and then describing them either out of order or with two concepts consolidated into one, and reusing questions from the book's chapter tests in the online exam. If those types of things don't bother you like they do me, then this book is great! My issue was less with the deficiencies themselves and more with my confidence in how well the necessary information was being covered overall if there was this type of inattention to detail.

This book is easy to read and follow. Gives great insight to HR SHRM Prep. As an HR Manager your role is to continue to grow and improve your organization and knowledge. This book gives examples of key aspects of HR and management that you use daily. Would recommend to prep for SHRM
