Office Portable Electric Stapler, 20 Sheets, AC or Battery Powered, Black (MDS20-BLK)

Love this stapler for school papers. I have stapled a lot of papers at the same time and it does well. I didn't count but it was pretty close to 20 sheets. The color black is as pictured. It is pretty quiet. It is not heavy. It is easy to load. The tray for staples could be a bit longer. In regards to the depth adjustment, just make sure that you have the papers back far enough for it to staple.

I am a bowling league secretary and on a weekly basis prepare 50+ two- and three-page documents for delivery to bowlers in the two leagues I track. I wanted an electric stapler but didn't want to spend big $$ for one. Bostitch is a reliable name so I thought I'd try this one. My first issue was with only a two page document of 24 lb copy paper, it won't trigger the stapler unless you hold the paper on the edge on the left and near the top on the right when you feed it into the machine. My second problem was that the staples weren't getting "mashed" down all the way. I was using swingline staples; the instructions said Bostitch were recommended so off I went to get a box of those. It didn't solve the problem of the two pages. However on a three page document that is NCR paper I had better results. Didn't need to hold the paper on both sides and the staples themselves worked better. However it fails to staple about every other set. I have to pop out the tray of staples and then re-seat it again for it to work. I guess I can use the Bostitch staples in my manual stapler but this unit is going to get returned.

Sturdy electronic stapler. This is used in the office at an elementary school, so it is put through its paces and hasn't jammed or had issue once.

I use this for work and it's worked great. But it stopped working after 6 months. Maybe I just wore it out.

I bought this stapler after I had already purchased a Top of the Line Powerhouse stapler for at least twice the money. It wasn't portable like this one and I needed something that was small and portable. I had the Powerhouse stapler for 3 months before I started having issues. Had it replaced THREE times and it still has issues. This little workhorse has never given a lick of trouble. I run it on batteries. It staples a stack bigger than you think and if I get overzealous, it will stick but very easily let me have my papers back and continue to work tirelessly. I have only had to change the batteries like one time in over a year and I have never plugged it in. I do recommend getting Swingline Optima staples but you don't have to. I recommend this to all of my coworkers. for $20??? You can't go wrong.

Easy to use and worked well while it lasted, which was about one month over a year's time. While stapling, the stapler jammed in the down position and couldn't be fixed, so I tossed it. Only used it around Christmas when I was putting things together for Operation Christmas child... stapled five sheets to a thin, cardboard shoebox. Sat in its box the rest of the year. I bought this one (same style) to see if it'll last longer. Hope so. FOLLOW-UP: Second one jammed after about ten minutes. The plunger that pushes the staples down jammed in the down position. Took a while to fix it, but then it happened again. Sending it back.

Hate is a really strong word but it describes exactly how I feel about this stapler. If I could give it negative stars I would. I bought this stapler in mid September 2023 and was excited to finally buy my first electric stapler. Well, that excitement quickly went out the door. I used it a few times and it worked fine. I had absolutely no issues with it. Fast forward a few months after not using it, I went to use it again and it absolutely would not staple. For some reason it would not engage when you put the paper under the slot. It’s completely stuck. The staple holder piece will not come out or re-engage. There is no way to open this and try to unjam it internally. I’ve used batteries and had this hooked up to the electric power source and nothing. I’ve tried prying the staple holder slot and it pretends it’s going to budge but doesn’t. This is a brand new stapler and they should not be doing this. My return window has closed and it would not allow me to contact customer support. At this point the only thing that this is good for is an expensive paperweight, but I can’t stand looking at it so it’s going to get trashed and I will be buying a manual stapler. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS STAPLER!!!

Terrible design and poor quality, dont waste your money. Bought in August and died in March the following year with very little use. The staple tray now stuck and won't open for refill.
