Stops bleeding nearly instantly
Had my doubts regarding these, but they definitely work and stop bleeding no matter how bad a shave cut. I use a safety razor and when i started using it, cut myself a fair amount. This stopped the bleeding on any cut i had. Word of warning though, it nips!!! Once the initial sting goes the blood stops. Cant be without one now.

Predictable high quality product from Muhle.

Crystalline, not powdery
For years I had a crystalline styptic pencil that I left behind in a hotel and have been searching for a replacement. Virtually all that I have bought since have been poor quality and mixed with talc which makes them soft and pretty useless. Then I found this Muhle one. There was nothing in the narrative of this being mixed with talc or not so I emailed Muhle to make sure. They confirmed that this was of the crystalline version that I had been searching for. Many of the reviews were good but also many were broken inside the tube when delivered. I took a punt anyway and was relieved that it was in one piece. Knicked myself shaving this morning and applied this stick to the site. It stung a little (Good sign) like my old one did and stopped the bleeding in a few seconds. Well pleased at last!

Good product, bad design
A good product that works well, but design needs a rethink. The stick was wedged tightly into the case making it difficult to open. After using a screwdriver to prize the case off, the stick shot out and dropped onto the floor and shattered into pieces. Should be easy to open, or the stick better protected
