Westinghouse C 7010500 lamp Cord Set, Product Specific

My beloved touch lamp had been out of commission due to puppy error for quite some time (years). There are no directions on the package for a touch lamp. But directions do say which wire is the neutral, (the ribbed one). Which is hard to feel/see the ribs on it. But after some time, I was able to distinguish it. So,then I checked the old wire and felt for the ribs on the neutral wire and connected the new wire the same. And the other wire goes to a bundle of wires connected all together with a wire nut. The hard part comes next to test your connections and gamble on getting a shock or not, as you have to touch the lamp to do so. But, thank goodness, no explosions, no shock !! Happy with this cheap fix!

My Grandmother's porcelain lamp has been sitting for years with a broken plug. This wire was great and much cheaper than the big box stores and I didn't have to waste my time & gas to go get 1 item. As you can see, it works great.

This item matches my lamp better than the original one and is more suited for the space that it needed to go through. I don't recommend rewiring lamps as I had my daughter help me figure it out and she did most of it. But when your puppy chews off the plug, you are left with UTube videos and doing it yourself (a lamp repair would probably have cost me more than I paid for the lamp). I could have thrown the lamp out but this was a inexpensive fix and I am happy with the results.

Longer than I needed, but still a good buy. We needed to replace the cords of 40+ year old lamps that we are giving to a granddaughter. The lamps have a gold color/probably brass base, so the yellow tint to the cord was perfect. Easy to install.

Nice cord. Looks good. Feels good. Works good.Only thing, print is so faint you can barely see it is there. Had to mark before I pushed through tube to be sure I could determine which was which wire was hot & which was neutral once I couldn't trace back to prong.Other than that, think it will do just fine. It replaced a cord that was on lamp for about 50 years. Will order live up to its predecessor? I'll never know.

Can't get overly excited about a lamp cord. The product is a good price and of good quality. It comes in a store card blister pack. I was in need of some gold colored wire and bought this to fill out an order to get free shipping. Got it for less thatn I'd pay at the big box hardware store and I didn't have to drive halfway cross town to get it.

High quality. I’m a Master Electrician so I know what Im looking at.

Redid the lamp cords. Worked great!
