Just superb, if you’re slightly interested in Nina Simone buy it you’ll see what a great piano player and songwriter she was. Her voice is standout greatness. I’ve bought two vinyl's of this album as I expect to wear one out before too long.

Standard of recording and singing very high.
Music from the late fifties sounds superb on this double vinyl pressing. Clear and in stereo. It never ceases to amaze me how some fifties and sixties recordings sound clearer and crisper than much later recordings. This album captures the sultry voice of Nina Simone at its best.

an archive of atmosphere
this is certainly one of the best and cleanest recordings I have ever heard of these early Bethlehem recordings + it contains two of the great piano pieces Good Bait and Central Park Blues. It is often forgotten what a great pianist Nina Simone was as the voice is so commanding. This is certainly the best bargain listed here and if you are a Nina beginner it rarely gets better than this and if you are a collecter and dont have this then go for it. You'll Never Walk Alone has never been sung with more emotion and the title track will have you swaying if not leaping out of your chair from sheer joy!!! OK so I love it

Great compilation album which was wisely spread over two 180 gram vinyl records and sounds great. The album has a lot of Nina's best tracks, but I just purchased it for her iconic song....My baby just cares for me.......and was pleasantely surprised by the quality of the pressing.

Excellent compilation of early Nina and also excellent value
Excellent compilation of early Nina and also excellent value. Very good pressing and well packaged. If you're already a fan then you'll know what to expect. If not, this is a good place to start. Highly recommended.
