Fun kid activity
This was a lot of fun to use. We had ordered smash-eggs from bakeries in the past but couldn't find any this past Easter season so I ordered this! I think the hardest part was tempering the chocolate. As long as you get the chocolate right this is super easy to use. I like the silicone better than the hard plastic type because you can peel it off the egg shell as opposed to trying to shake/wiggle it out. It was a good size for our young children - if you have older kids I'd maybe make them each their own. Washed fine on top rack of our dishwasher.

Good mold, no issues
I thought I would leave a review on the egg mold, since all of the other reviews are for the chocolate bars. I had no problems using this egg mold. The chocolate came out easily, once dried. I used several colors of dry edible luster dust to the mold, before pouring in the chocolate, and it came out of the mold with a beautiful sparkly sheen, almost like a galaxy. The eggs are nice and large, and the definition of the diamond shape is great. I will say not to make the shells too thick because the halves won't match up well. I accomplished this by letting the excess chocolate drip out, and then using a cake spatula to remove excess chocolate around the lip so that its easy to remove from the mold. I am definitely hoping for a nice cracked shell when the kiddos hit the filled egg with their little mallots. I like the idea of an interactive treat, and this seems like it fits the bill well.

Needs slight modification for use with epoxy resin.
I purchased this product to use as an epoxy resin mold. At least for resin, the support at the bottom of the egg isn't enough to prevent deformation of the pour around the stand. To fix this, I filled in the bottom of the stand with silicone. I realize that the mold wasn't necessarily made for resin, but the built-in stand is a little on the flimsy side.

Good eggs
Ease to use. The quality was a little thinner then I like but the size was good.
