Endlessly charming
I don't actually like dogs (shocking, I know) but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this cute and absorbing novel about Elizabeth Barrett Browning's dog Flush. It's a lovely and quick read!

A classic
I read this many years ago and decided to recommend it to my Book Group as we wanted to read something about dogs. Woolf is a wonderful writer and this is a little more 'accessible' than her other novels. Beautifully written.

If you've just lost your dog, this book is for you.
Beautiful and powerful short story. Felt like I had lived Flush's (and Elisabeth's) life after reading it. Highly recommend for anyone who has recently lost a dog, it will make you smile, cry, and remember the good times.

Virginia Woolf at her best
First of all, the cover is gorgeous. The paper quality is also really nice. Love this editionThis is the story of Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s cocker spaniel, Flush. He enchants right from the opening pages. I never thought I'd enjoy the biography of a dog as much as I did!But ofcourse, Woolf's writing works her magic with no exception.Throughout the course of this book, Flush has adventures of his own with bullying dogs, horrid maids, and robbers, and he also provides the reader with a glimpse into Browning’s life.If you crave for intricately woven phrases that sing the English language with exquisite intonation or for a literary game of original subtlety, this book is definitely for you!
