Fantastic item
Buy this item, seriously. Works on the smallest tablet and after a couple of rotations the tablet is turned into a fine powder. Has made my life so much easier. You can also lift cap on top of the lid and store some of your tablets. Very refreshing to find an item that actuslly works as well as you'd hoped.

Crushes pills and tablet easily
Easy to use and clean. For best results, screw tightly, unscrew slightly and gently shake/tap and rescrew to ensure all the pieces of pill are crushed evenly, repeat a necessary.

Great for people who can't take tablets
I purchased this for my daughter who struggles to take tablets (she is 20 and still using Calpol) and this has been a godsend. It crushes things like paracetamol up perfectly to a fine dust that can be popped into a drink or yoghurt without any issues the only drawback is if the tablets have a coating, sometimes depending on the type of coating it doesn't always break that up so you need to either remove it or break it up separately. Regardless of that I am extremely pleased with it and will always have one in the medicine cabinet from now on. I highly recommend.

Great quality
Having spent over a year using the back of spoons to crush CATS pills! Never thought of getting one of these. Well-made, high quality, good size (fits in the hand) easy and quick to use - heaven knows why I didn't get one sooner! There is even a storage under the white disc to store the other half of the pill. Brilliant design with a large thread making this very easy to use.

Doesn’t grind everything
This is odd because it grinds some tablets perfectly but not others, some of them it doesn’t seem to even touch, others I’ve had to break into pieces to get the grinder to grind yet still it doesn’t consistently leave powder but lumps which are no good.

Simple to use and no more struggling giving pet his medication
This item has been a life saver. Trying to get our dog to take tablets was a nightmare. Now it takes seconds to crush and mix with his food he doesn't know it's in there

one twist and its done
what an amazing little item, one twist with the pill in and its done, no effort whatsoever. i have to crush tablets for my dog and then add water into a syringe. this is so easy now. takes less then a minute, twist, open, add a bit of water with the syringe make sure its mixed and then draw mixture up with syringe and the jobs done. ITS so clever and you can store some pills in the lid too. BRILLITANT and i am disabled and can do this so easy. so much easier then two spoons.

Crack after a few weeks use
Sturdy machine which worked great for the first coup,e of sees, used once per day to crush 2 tablets. The inside shell cracked which allowed the tablets to drop down inside the bottom casing without crushing anything. Reported to Amazon who organised an immediate refund. Maybe I was unlucky with the one I was sent but I couldn’t really recommend this based on my experience.

I'll start off by saying that this isn't a "new" product for me, exactly. Rather, it's just me buying the smaller version of a larger unit which I've been using, happily, for years. My wife and I own pets, and over the years, several of these pets have needed to receive medicine at times. Now, giving cats, in particular, medicine is... challenging, at best. ("Impossible" at worst!) My wife is able to stick a pill down a cat's throat using her finger, but I can't make myself do that... call it a phobia if you like, but the idea of harming the animal sort of freaks me out. Using "Pill pockets" or other "food wraps" is pretty effective... until the first time that the cat bites down and discovers what's inside. After that, using "pill pockets" becomes essentially impossible. So, I'll use that approach if I can, but often can't. SO... the last trick, which works nicely when the pill involved isn't TOO nasty-tasting, is this: crushing it and mixing it into food. Usually a pretty fragrant food, which they're really fond of, works best. This WON'T work for particularly terrible-tasting pills, but for most, it works pretty well. And the larger version of this has been what I've been using to do my pill-crushing for about fifteen years now. The only complaint I ever had with this was that the compartment seemed too large for the volume of crushed pill powder I was left with once done. Well, I'm going to be away for a while, and I'm taking my two furrballs with me (while the others will stay with her), and I needed my own copy for this period. I was assuming I'd just get the same one, but was pleasantly surprised to find that there's a smaller version as well. The smaller version is far better suited to the amount of medication you'll usually give to pets, or to small children. The larger one is best suited, honestly, to "adult-sized" doses, in my opinion. It's trivially easy to use. Drop the pill(s) into the compartment, and screw the top section in. I'll usually screw and unscrew the last portion several times to ensure that I get the pill fully crushed. I then simply remove the top (tapping it on the side of the crushing compartment if there's any residual pill powder on the "core" of it), and then just dump the contents of the crushing compartment over the food (again, tapping it if necessary to get as much out as possible. If you're using the same medicine every time, there's no real need to wash it every time, but if you're doing multiple types of medications using one crusher, you'll likely want to wash it off every time. That's easy... dishwashing soap and a nice hand washing works perfectly, along with air drying (I doubt it's "dishwasher safe," however, so don't try that!) It's a very simple design... not many chances for things to go wrong... but it works very, very well. It reminds me of my own childhood, with my mom crushing stuff with a spoon to give to the kids. This is much, much better. If you have a need to do what this does... you're not going to find many better options.
