Verucca gone in 2 applications
Absolutely eliminated the verucca after only 2 applications (took some weeks to fully heal). Be careful with applying too much, but otherwise fantastic. Nothing else helped.

Brittle and breaks after first use
Used once, followed instructions..waited a week to use again, took the lid off and the end snapped off, unable to use again. It's gone straight in the bin. Rubbish quality

Forget Bazuka Gel. This stuff really works...and quickly.
Heard about this product from a colleague who also had a troubling verucca. None of the usual remedies had worked, Bazuka, Scholl gel, even cider vinegar. I had limited success with freeze spray that removed the verucca but it kept growing back. In desperation I tried Avoca. I could feel the difference within a week (after using it just twice) as the pain slowly subsided and the verucca started to shrink. After two weeks 90% of the pain had gone. 4 weeks after treatment the verucca was dead and fell off and I am now pain free. I think I only used the product four times in all and yet it still worked. The instructions say to use every day but I found that not necessary. I think I only used it twice a week for two weeks and I could feel the difference. The verucca stopped throbbing and started shrinking so I could tell it was working. After the pain subsided I stopped using it. A brilliant product that I can't see why it is for sale in chemists shops. My only word of caution is that the contents are extremely fragile. Rather than touching the stick directly to the skin as the instructions say I found dipping the stick into ONE drop of water for 20 seconds and then applying that water to the area with a fine artists paint brush did the trick and preserved the life of the stick. I'm annoyed at myself for wasting all that time & money on mainstream verucca treatments at chemists (none of them worked) and then finding this was by far the most effective and quickest treatment.

After a long year fighting my twin boys numerous vercucas with wartner (about £200 spent I guess), this is finally killing them and fast too. So much cheaper as well. Heartily recomend using this, do read the instructions though as it easily disintegrates when you take off the cap for the second treatment; so would suggest you buy two at least. Am now stocking up for the final assult!

Works OK, but easy to break if you don't obey the instructions!
It's a neatly made stick, and delivers a lower concentration of medication than the 95% ones - useful in applications where the 95% is too strong. But the tip is indeed fragile, and I broke one a year ago - my bad. Had to replace it. The trick is to read the instructions first! . We've just replaced our second one, which has worn out with normal use. . For those unwilling to read the directions, they tell the user to put a drop or two of water on a suitable surface, then waggle the tip in the water to dissolve some silver nitrate. When that's done, transfer the drop(s) to the target area. Done! . If (as I did at first) you just try to rub the target with the dry stick, it breaks easily, which was my fault. Moistening the stick helps, but it still breaks eventually with this method. When used as directed it's fine.

Easy to use, no fuss
When I bought this product, I was a bit wary. Having read a few reviews that warned about the fragility of the pencil, I wasn't sure what to expect. Then there was the disclaimer on the box that excluded returns due to a broken pencil. I've used the caustic pencil a few times now, and it works wonderfully. It does exactly what it says. It's nice and easy to use. So I'm currently wondering why so many people complain about a broken tip. It is, because they just don't read the instructions leaflet properly? You do not need to apply any pressure at all when using the pencil. And if you do not apply any pressure, then it will not break. So, am I just incredibly lucky? Or are some people are just incapable to follow instructions and think they know better, then whine and try to blame the manufacturer for messing up? I don't know. What I know is that I can really recommend this product. It works. Just a word of warning though: Caustic pencils are not to be messed with. You can seriously hurt yourself if you use it wrong. If you're unsure, you better see your podologist.
