Aumbow A4 Magnifying Glass

Fantastic for enlarging anything from knitting patterns to cctv on our mobile phones! Great item.

Although it came in new cellophane wrapper the actual magnifier was covered in dust and had a mark in one place that won't clean off. It works though, so for the price I suppose it is ok!

Swift delivery and well packaged for postal journey. Light weight magnifying sheet that is ideal for A4 or any sized document you wish to study/read. I bought 2 , as they are so reasonably priced for what they can offer you. My mother needed some form of reading aid after recently having cataracts removed from both eyes. Especially whilst waiting for her sight test for reading glasses. She can now read her books and complete her crosswords easily enough, making life a lot easier. The magnifier can sit on the page and that alone works or it can be held closer to your face for an even larger effect. Simple, but a great help when you cannot see the small print . Well done seller..!!

I have no idea what I expected for the price, but it wasn't this. It's plastic, so really doesn't work well as a magnifier, I gave it several days, trying it out on various items, to see if reading was improved. It wasn't. You need to hold it at the correct distance to ensure visibility but the plastic reflects a kind of swirly rainbow effect which detracts from its ability to help you read. After a week of trying to get some use out of it, I popped it in the bin. I accepted I was never going to use it, don't understand the good reviews at all. Very disappointed and surprised the company gets away with it. For the price, I didn't expect It to be especially good but surely it's not unreasonable to expect it to be of use in some way.

Magnifies smallest of print. Even works on over a smartphone. Handy to have.

Purchased this for my mother, who was struggling to read her newspapers with a small round magnifying glass. There is definitely a "right way up" but it is not marked as such: hold it the wrong way and magnification is distorted round the edges of a circular centre. However, held the right way up this doesn't seem to happen - we have now marked the front to make it easier. It is pliable which is good and bad! Sometimes it makes it awkward to hold in the right place as it flops down on one side if you don't hold it properly with both. All told, it has made life easier and is a big improvement on the small magnifying glass she was using. The cost is very reasonable which made it worth trying out: now that we know it works for her, I may look for a more expensive improved version.
