Long Range Shooting Handbook: The Complete Beginner's Guide to Precision Rifle Shooting

This book gave me a really good basis for long distance shooting, and I'm confident that it gives you everything that you need to get started. After reading cover to cover, I found that many things were really ingrained into my mind by the end of the book, and I felt like it was a great introduction for a beginner. I particularly found the beginning parts of the book on the subject of ammunition and the various types available, rather interesting. I also found it useful to read about the pros and cons of different types of ammunition which was a real eye opener for me. Ryan Cleckner really puts a complicated topic into easy to understand wording, and for this reason, I enjoyed it thoroughly throughout.

This author really knows his stuff and provides an excellent basis for improving one's skills. The first half offers an insight into the basics whilst the second part expands on ballistics and giving considerable useful information. We'll written and enjoyable.

An easy to read, informative book with a touch of humour sprinkled in. I'm not a novice shooter, even so, I found the whole book relevant and thoroughly enjoyable. Some of the topics were above my level of competence, but none the less useful (or interesting) for that. I picked up one simple tip that no-one (instructors) have ever mentioned which has tightened my groups up, and more importantly, brought consistency to my shooting. This is the kind of book you can dip in and out of as required. Highly recommended and respect to the author.

OK, so this is a handy reference book for setting your scope up and other shooting relates issues. It's a book that I will refer to quite often while I'm shooting, always good to have on hand. The only real negative I could find, is its very American (Yes I know its written by an American) so some of it doesn't translate well into the UK market, for example temperatures and sometimes distances. Overall though I'm happy with it.

This is a book you can read cover to cover, or dip into as required. The book covers all aspects from the kit through to the science behind the path of the projectile. No snobbery, no elitist attitudes; just good sound experience put into a clear concise narrative. A cracking book for any rifle shooter and one that deserves a place on any shooters bookcase.

This book is amazing, it has everything you need know about rifle and target shooting. Anyone who wants to spend money on shooting classes or range they should buy this book it’ll save you loads of money.

Nice information for long range . The book it's amazing for me ! A great job, I paid the book with some fear of being deceived but now I even paid more. Thank you for the time dedicated to teaching people with less experience in the long-range... I'm Portuguese and I'm living in Switzerland.
