The pocket watch is very good it is a pity the leather case is so big as the pocket watch gets lost in it.

Good reliable watch.
Easy to read and reliable. The chain was a bit long and would have benefited from a T peice for my waistcoat. Easy rectified for a couple of pounds. The watch was all I expected.

Classic looking watch
Well presented watch would make a perfect gift, but this was for myself. Nice clear face with classic look. Hoping it will give me many years of use.

No red case as per pictorial description.Watch presented in a card envelope, not a box again as described in pictorial description.General packaging poor and not bubble wrapped for protection. Arrived in a cardboard envelope.

Beautiful but robust
I love almost everything about this watch, its plain but beautiful face with the trademark Swiss Railways red-disc Second hand sweeping across its face, the smooth snake-chain that attaches to it, and the red leather velvet-lined carrying case is a great all-in package. The Swiss Railways logo and engraving on the back of the stainless steel case is clean and crisp and is a nice finishing touch. That said, I am a bit disappointed (hence 4 and not 5 stars) with the fact that the Second hand doesn't align properly with the numerals as it ticks round the watch face. Trivial perhaps, but I think a precision Railway watch should be precise!

Uniquely specified for purpose
Looks classy, easy to read in the dimmest light, quick to read where preoccupations demand it. The recipient wears it on his belt, kept in a trousers' fob pocket with NO other item, and can haul it out and read it in a jiffy no matter the circumstances. Where work makes such demands these abilities are invaluable but since it is also an item of classic design and unadorned beauty this vastly increases the joy of ownership. As the alternative to a traditional pocket watch it is supreme, and well worth the added cost. A joy for ever and a present which offers constant reminder of the occasion of the gift and of the donor. It is probably the best present I have bought for anyone in my whole life though by no means the most expensive.
