Reliable, compact, and built to last
I’ve used several vacuum brands over the years, including Dyson, but I always come back to Miele. This model is compact, powerful, and easy to maneuver. It works beautifully on both hardwood floors and area rugs, and transitions between surfaces with no frustration. The bag is simple to change and seals tightly, which keeps dust contained. Suction is strong and consistent. It feels engineered for performance without overcomplication. This is an investment, but one that earns its place over time. The build quality is exceptional, and I’ve found it to be far more durable and effective than other high-profile brands I’ve tried. If you’re looking for something quiet, efficient, and thoughtfully made — this is the vacuum I recommend.

Hardwood floor magic!!
Incredible! I have had the C1 for many years and loved its performance. My kids asked if they could have it, so I upgraded myself to the C2-Hardwood floor version. We have a busy house with three dogs and a cat. This thing has my house hair/fur free in minutes on the lowest power setting! Extremely quiet. Not heavy or bulky (easy to carry). Easily extendable tube, so that taller people can use it without stooping over. An excellent design of the vacuum head - it gets right into every edge and corner. The internal storage for the specialty vacuum heads is brilliant! I haven’t yet bothered to try the higher settings for more power. Maybe I will try this in the winter when everyone is tracking in mud and snow. Cannot recommend this brand more!! If you have hardwood floors and are deciding between which version of this brand… I loved my C1 multifunctional vacuum, but this C2 is exceptional and worth the extra cost.

Excellent Vaccum
Bought this for use on (surprise) hardwood and engineered hardwood floors with some throw rugs. Use it 1-4 times a day cleaning up after children and pets in a very active household. It is lightweight, maneuverable, much quieter than any other vacuum I've owned (Dyson, Shark, Bissell) and easy to use. Has been a game changer at our house - life is much cleaner, and it is easier to mop right after. It is so much quieter and lighter to carry that we vacuum more often than we used to. I was hesitant to get a canister vacuum as I owned one from a competitor before (dyson bagless) and found it annoying to use. The Miele C2 is totally different - it's awesome. One of my criteria for a good vacuum is the "flashlight test" in which you vacuum as thoroughly as you can, dim the lights, and shine a flashlight beam nearly parallel to and across the floor to illuminate anything that got left behind. Our old bagless vacuum (Shark) left tons of debris behind everywhere, making it seem as if we'd not vacuumed at all. The Miele by contrast leaves almost NOTHING - and by using a bag, it keeps dust from blowing around in the air too. I will note that we borrowed a friends' C1 before going with this purchase of the C2, and the C1 did not perform as well. In part that may have been due to the hardwood floor adapter received with the C2 which really does work much better than the dual hardwood/rug adapter (also included with the C2) on bare floors. The dual adapter is fine for rugs and carpet, though a little harder to pull back and forth compared to a traditional upright vacuum. I still prefer to use a more traditional rolling vacuum (Shark) on wall-to-wall carpeting - I guess it beats the carpet halfway to death and makes it seem like it did a better job? But still use the Miele half the time now too. The hardwood floor adapter is (duh) not very useful on rugs, though it can get the job done: it can get sand, fine kitty litter, and hairs off rugs just fine if you go slow and lower the power setting.Sole complaint: the cord does not spool out as easily as I'd like and the vacuum has come unplugged a couple of times while I was vacuuming. Not a biggie. Everything else makes up for it. This is a very thoughtfully, logically designed tool.I am a Miele convert. Highly recommend.

Worth the money
This vacuum was a great find for my floors. I love how wide the floor attachment is. Does not scratch my floors. It’s lightweight and suction is great. Very quiet. I wish electrical cord was longer.

Very good vacuum cleaner
UPDATE: We recently purchased an after-market powered carpet brush for the Miele C2 vacuum and it definitely is working much better on our carpets. It pretty much picks up everything from the carpet on one pass, now; none of the repeated re-doing a section as before. I would adjust the unit's score to something like a 4.5 out of 5.0 with the powered carpet head.I definitely recommend you purchasing a powered head if you have carpets otherwise you will be disappointed. The unit is terrific on hard surface floors but without a powered carpet head is really struggles on carpets/rugs.PS. The unit is extremely quiet. We have a dog that would always get freaked out when we vacuumed with our old system, the noise totally scared the dog. With the Miele, the dog doesn't even flinch at the sound. If you have noise sensitive pets, this unit will make your and their lives much easier. We have had the Miele C2 vacuum cleaner for just over a month and overall it has been a positive experience. It is quiet yet powerful and easy to move. It is terrific on hard surfaces such as hardwood floors, tile and vinyl plank. The only downside is that the enclosed carpet brush is mediocre at best. I wasn't expecting much since the head isn't powered, as a result I really have to work at picking up items from the carpet, going over a section 2-3 times before everything is picked up. I like the way the tools store on board the unit. The bags are on the small size and with three bigs dogs that shed constantly they fill pretty quickly. Overall, a very good unit if you have lots of hard surfaces, not so much on carpets.
