A solid and well-made product that works well and is good value.A key buying requirement for me was a remote control, which is included and works well. However, no batteries were, so 2 AAA batteries are required to operate the remote control. It's possible to use the player without the remote control, although fewer functions are available if it isn't used.The player itself is powered by a 10W mains adaptor with a separate USB-C cable that is quite long, there is no battery option for the main player.The clear plastic cover over the CD allows the user to see if there is a CD in the player and, if so, to identify what will be played, which is helpful. However, when the CD is playing the spinning CD is visible, which can be a bit of a distraction. Inserting and removing a CD isn't that easy if the player is standing on a flat surface as intended, it's easier to hold the player when changing CDs.The player also has a programable FM radio and will play music from a USB storage device, but to date I haven't used these features.I was able to connect my phone to the player to play streamed music through the speakers on the player. Additionally, I listened to the player through Bluetooth ear buds. It's also possible to use normal wired headphones using the 3.5mm socket.The sound is clear although the bass isn't great through the internal speakers. The bass sound through a Bluetooth speaker (Anker SoundCore 2) or ear buds is better, but for speech or music that doesn't require a prominent bass the internal speakers are adequate, but it isn't in any way a "beat-box" machine.The CD player cannot be programmed to play the tracks in a specific order, but there is a "shuffle play" and two repeat functions.Overall, although it's not perfect, for the low price I'm content with this CD Player/FM Radio.

Unable to use my TV at the time of purchase due to scaffolding blocking my dish. I have a large selection of cd’s but nothing to play them on in the kitchen. Then this wonderful little gadget arrived and what a brilliant machine! Compact, good to look at, easy to use and really cheap but most importantly the quality of sound is excellent for such a small gadget. I had bought a smaller battery powered player like the old Walkman but you could only listen to this using headphones which does restrict you to sitting at a table. I could not be more pleased and fully recommend it.

I bought this to play some kids story/music CDs that my uncle had passed onto me after his son outgrew them. Eager to play them to my own son, I was on the lookout for a device to play them on. As well as a good price, my main criteria was a small footprint, since I don't have a lot of space. Any additional features would be a bonus.This product definitely fits the bill - the design is pretty much as compact as it can be given that it needs to accommodate the physical side of a CD, as well as the in-built speakers and other necessary components. Also the fact that it stands vertically really helps reduce its footprint. The sound quality is good for such as small unit, and speech is clear, so ideal for the story CDs I have. There is a four-character 7-segment display at the top of the device which is ideal for displaying track number, playing time, radio frequency and information/error messages. There is a blue LED behind the CD tray to signify that the device is powered on, and it has the additional function of illuminating the spinning CD nicely, as you can see in my attached photo. There is a hinged clear dust cover over the CD which is a great addition - you are able to enjoy the view of the disc spinning without fear of dust getting onto the laser or little fingers touching the disc!Moving onto the other features, I am pleased to report that it also functions as a Bluetooth speaker, so when my son tires of his CD collection, I can play additional content via Spotify on my phone. I may even hook up a spare Amazon Echo via Bluetooth or aux-in to provide additional connectivity. Bluetooth audio out is also supported, so you can output to Bluetooth headphones or a Bluetooth speaker as an alternative to the integrated speakers, as good as they are. There's an FM radio which works perfectly, and you can also play audio files from a USB stick.As well as the unit itself, you also get a remote that can control all functions of the device, a USB-C cable and a 2A UK power supply, which is good to see since many USB-powered devices these days require the user to supply their own power supply.

Compact, portable - so easy to find a space to place it. The unit is easy to operate and the sound is fantastic. And the price won't be beaten.
